This week, the cherry blossoms on our school grounds were in full bloom. We took this wonderful opportunity to go outside and enjoy hanami (cherry blossom viewing) together, making the most of the lovely weather. While outside, we also noticed the koinobori (carp streamers) displayed in the school yard—a cheerful sign that Children’s Day is approaching in Japan.
今週は、校内の桜が満開を迎えました。私たちはこの素敵な機会を活かして、外に出てお花見を楽しみました。心地よい天気の中で、みんなで楽しい時間を過ごしました。
また、校庭には「こいのぼり」が飾られており、もうすぐこどもの日がやってくることを感じさせてくれました。
We also had our gym class in the gymnasium this week, giving the kids plenty of space to move and enjoy physical activities.
今週の体育の授業は、体育館で行いました。広いスペースで思いきり体を動かし、楽しく活動できました。
Our learning focus this week was on “emotions and feelings.” As part of this, we invited the children to collect cherry blossom petals around the school and use them freely to create their own artwork. Each child shared a story inspired by their creation, showing how emotions can be expressed not just through words, but also through art.
今週の学習テーマは「感情や気持ち」でした。その一環として、子どもたちに校内に落ちている桜の花びらを集めてもらい、自分なりの方法で自由にアート作品を作ってもらいました。
それぞれの作品にはストーリーがあり、子どもたちは自分の気持ちをアートを通して表現することができました。
We went on a trip to Ippongi Park this week—the weather was beautiful, and the kids had an amazing time!
