Hello Wonderful parents and friends,
This week, our young learners had their first pool play in the yard. It was full of giggles, splashes, and sunshine!
The children were so excited to see the pools set up in the yard. After changing into their swimming wear, we gathered the children and reminded them of the important rules for staying safe around water. Before jumping into the fun, we did a light warm-up exercise to get our bodies ready. The children followed along eagerly!
To connect with our Unit 2 theme about animals, we added a playful twist by acting like animals that live or move in the water. They had so much fun pretending to be swimming animals! They waddled and flapped their arms like ducks, opened and closed their arms like crocodiles, floated and wiggled like otters, and swished their hands like fish. These playful movements helped the children use their imaginations, strengthen their motor skills, and deepen their understanding of animals while cooling off and enjoying the sunshine. We can’t wait for more pools ahead!

今週、待ちに待った園庭でのプール遊びをしました！楽しそうな笑い声と水しぶき、そして太陽の光でいっぱいでした！
園庭のプールを見てずっとわくわくしていた子どもたち😊水着に着替えた、みんなで安全に過ごすための大切なルールを確認しました。準備体操をしたらいよいよプールへ！
ユニット2のテーマである 「動物 」にちなんで、動物に変身して遊びました。アヒルのようによちよち歩きをしたり、腕をバタバタさせたり、ワニのように腕を開いたり閉じたり、カワウソのように浮いたりくねくねしたり、魚のように手を振ったり。子どもたちは想像力を働かせ、運動神経を鍛え、涼みながら動物への理解を深めました。次のプールが待ち遠しいね！
Moving With Music, Learning Through Sound and Rhythm!
In this week’s music lesson, our students are getting better at exploring rhythm and movements through listening.
The children began by clapping their hands in rhythm with the piano, learning to follow the beat and stay in time together. As the music changed, so did their movements. When the piano played softly and slowly, the children tiptoed gently and walked quietly around the room. When the music became loud and fast, they ran energetically, like galloping horses. This actively helped the children build their listening skills, body control, and awareness of musical dynamics in a fun and playful way.
Musicレッスンでは、聴くことを通してリズムや動きをとっていくことが上手になってきました。
棒を持った子どもたちは、ピアノのリズムに合わせてお馬さんになり歩きます。音楽のリズムが変わると、子どもたちの動きも変わります。ピアノがやわらかくゆっくり演奏されると、子どもたちはつま先でそっと静かに歩きます。音が大きく速くなると、疾走する馬のようにエネルギッシュに走ります。子どもたちは楽しく遊びながら、聴く力、体をコントロールする力、音楽のダイナミクスを意識する力を養っています！先週ホースランドで見たお馬さんたちを思い出しながら歩いたり走ったりしていましたよ🎶
ジムレッスンでも、いろいろな動物に変身してたくさん体を動かしました！
The students practiced tracing the big letter E as part of their alphabet learning. Using pencils, the children followed the straight lines, moving across, down, and across again. It was a fun and focused activity that supports early writing and letter recognition.
アルファベットでは、大文字「E」をなぞる練習をしました。直線をたどり、横へ、下へ、また横へと移動しました。楽しみながらみんな集中していて、Eの文字について親しめたようです。
