There’s a big dragonfly-Rainbow-July 22nd-25th

Greetings!

Welcome to Rainbow’s second to the last blog for the month of July!

This week, we have continued our theme about insects. We tried to practice the simple phrase, It’s a/an (name of insects) to develop our communication skills even at early age. It’s amazing how students tried to repeat the sentence correctly like, It’s a butterfly or It’s a beetle, etc. Teachers praised them for their confidence!

Pretend play surged in the classroom. It’s amazing how students set up their own place, the toys they needed and how their conversation sparks so naturally. It’s a positive sign of their developing social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

As the temperatures rise, aside from staying hydrated, we kept doing our water play and water spray. We loved the water sensory such as feeling water trickle over our hands that stimulate our sense of touch, sight, and sound. Water spray stimulates our imagination of the rainy weather. We also have lots of opportunities finding insects in the schoolyard and playing in the sandpit.

Next week we will have an earthquake evacuation drill during pool play and we will have a school open day in the afternoon. See you parents.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
