There are many animals and they all have different features! Last week we learned about how some animals stay warm with fur all over their bodies.  This week we looked at chickens, parrots, snakes and fish! We asked –Do they have fur? – No, they don’t – They have feathers or scales! Students worked together to cover some lucky animals with beautiful, colorful feathers, scales and shells! We even asked students why birds have feathers? They thought about it and some thinkers in Waterfall were correct! It is not heavy, so birds can fly! 

Students finished their ABC Masks of animals that share the first letters of their names. Waterfall students can dance and sing “Walk in the Jungle” in style before Phonics! This week they looked at animals that start with the Letter D and colored a dog, duck and a dinosaur! They played Eye-Spy around the room for more animals that have the D sound- it’s a dolphin!
