Welcome back to our final week of the Summer School blog!
夏休みスクールブログ、いよいよ最終週です！
Monday – We went bug hunting around our school grounds and found so many different kinds of insects! The kids were excited and proud of the bugs they caught. We also make an insect diorama art in the afternoon
月曜日 – 学校の周りで虫取りをしました。たくさんの種類の虫を見つけ、子どもたちは大喜び！捕まえた虫を見て、とても誇らしそうでした。午後には、昆虫のジオラマアート作りにも挑戦し、夏らしい作品を完成させました！
Tuesday – We took a trip to the Tangram Resort to enjoy the water park. The weather was perfect, giving us that true summer feeling. Everyone had an amazing time splashing and playing!
火曜日 – タングラムリゾートのウォーターパークへ出かけました。天気は最高で、本格的な夏を感じながら水遊びを満喫しました！
Wednesday – We enjoyed a Japanese summer tradition: watermelon smashing! After breaking it open, we shared the sweet, juicy watermelon together. We also did some art about summer in the afternoon!
水曜日 – 日本の夏の伝統「スイカ割り」を楽しみました。割った後は、みんなで甘くてジューシーなスイカを仲良く食べました。午後には、夏をテーマにしたアート制作も楽しみました！
Thursday – We learned how to make Tamakizushi rolls, guided by a professional chef who kindly came to our school. Thank you for your time—it was delicious! Later, we worked on designing and decorating items for the next day’s festival.
木曜日 – プロの先生をお招きし、玉きずしロールの作り方を教えていただきました。丁寧に教えてくださりありがとうございました！とても美味しかったです。その後は、翌日の夏祭りに向けて使うアイテムのデザインや装飾をみんなで行いました。
Friday – Our final day of summer school was full of excitement! The school came alive with festival stalls including a water yoyo corner, cotton candy stand, fish-catching pool, baby castella stand, mystery box corner, and shaved ice. We also danced the Shon Shon Dance, a special tradition unique to Nakano City. It was the perfect way to end our week—with joy, laughter, and lots of memories.
金曜日 – 夏休みスクール最終日は大盛り上がり！水ヨーヨー、わたあめ、金魚すくい、ベビーカステラ、ミステリーボックス、かき氷などの屋台が並び、学校中が夏祭りムード一色になりました。中野市ならではの「しょんしょん踊り」もみんなで踊り、笑顔と笑い声いっぱいで締めくくることができました。
