Our Sports Festival has wrapped up, and wow—it went by so quickly! But every moment was filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories.
スポーツフェスティバルが無事に終わりました！あっという間に感じましたが、その一瞬一瞬が笑顔とわくわく、そして忘れられない思い出でいっぱいでした。
This year’s theme was Storis: A World of Fun, Action, and Adventure. Our class chose the Super Mario Brothers as our motif—not just because it’s everyone’s favorite, but also because it connected beautifully with our UOI theme, Community Helpers. After all, Mario and Luigi are plumbers who help their community by fixing broken pipes!
今年のテーマは 「Storis: A World of Fun, Action, and Adventure」 でした。私たちのクラスは、みんなが大好きな スーパーマリオブラザーズ をモチーフに選びました。それは人気があるからというだけでなく、UOIのテーマ Community Helpers（地域で働く人たち） ともぴったりつながっていたからです。実はマリオとルイージは、壊れたパイプを直して地域を助ける配管工さんなんですよ！
From the very beginning, the whole class worked hard as a team. They brainstormed actions, designed props, and practiced with dedication to bring their performance to life. The song Mario Odyssey became our anthem—its catchy beat kept the energy high, helped us stay in sync, and captured the joyful spirit of Mario and Luigi.
最初から最後まで、クラス全員がチームとして力を合わせて頑張りました。バルーンのパフォーマンスではみんなで動きを考えたり、声を揃えてバルーンを握り、ブリッジが出来るよう一生懸命練習し、パフォーマンスを形にしていきました。曲 「Mario Odyssey」 は私たちのアンセムのような存在で、そのリズムにのって元気いっぱいに、動きをそろえながら、マリオとルイージの楽しさあふれる世界観を表現することができました。
Of course, rehearsals weren’t always smooth sailing. Some students were shy at first, and others struggled to remember their steps or positions. But with patience, teamwork, and lots of practice, our little performers grew in confidence. On the big day, they shone—natural, energetic, and proud!
もちろん、リハーサルがいつも順調だったわけではありません。最初は恥ずかしがる子もいれば、動きや立ち位置を覚えるのに苦戦する子もいました。でも、粘り強く取り組み、仲間と助け合い、たくさん練習を重ねることで、自信をつけてきたサバンナさん。本番の日には、自然体で元気いっぱい、そして誇らしげに輝く姿を見せてくれました！
The races were another highlight. Despite their short legs and arms, our Savanna students dashed across the field with all their might, proving that determination matters more than size. And just as important, they showed true sportsmanship. The festival wasn’t about who was the fastest or the strongest; it was about showing parents how balanced, principled, and resilient their children are. Win or lose, they crossed the finish line with smiles.
かけっこも大きな見どころのひとつでした。小さな手足で一生懸命フィールドを駆け抜けるサバンナの子どもたちの姿は、「大きさよりも大切なのは頑張る気持ち」だということを教えてくれました。そして同じくらい大切だったのは、子どもたちが見せてくれた本当のスポーツマンシップです。速さや強さを競うだけではなく、バランスよく、芯を持ち、困難に立ち向かう姿を保護者の皆さまに見ていただくことが、このフェスティバルの目的でした。勝っても負けても、子どもたちは笑顔でゴールを駆け抜けました。
And let’s not forget the parents’ game! This event was a crowd favorite, with moms and dads giving it their all. The children were thrilled to see their parents compete, cheer each other on, and model teamwork and sportsmanship. Many of our students watched in awe, realizing that their parents are not just supporters but role models in the spirit of play.
そして忘れてはならないのが、保護者の皆さまによるゲームです！大盛り上がりのこのイベントでは、お父さんお母さんが全力を出して取り組んでくださいました。子どもたちは、保護者の皆さまが競い合い、応援し合い、チームワークやスポーツマンシップを見せてくれる姿に大喜び。多くの子どもたちがその姿に憧れ、自分の親はただ応援してくれる人ではなく、遊び心と挑戦の精神を持つ素晴らしいお手本なのだと気づくことができました。
All in all, our Sports Festival was more than just an event—it was a celebration of community, teamwork, and joy. What a fantastic day for everyone!
総じて、今回のスポーツフェスティバルはただの行事ではなく、「コミュニティ」「チームワーク」「喜び」を分かち合うお祝いの場となりました。子どもたち、保護者の皆さま、そして私たち全員にとって、本当に素晴らしい一日となりました！
