みなさん、こんにちは！
三連休はいかがでしたか？ご家族と素敵な時間を過ごされたことと思います。

Even though Monday was a holiday, we had a busy and exciting week full of learning and fun. We began the week with our regular morning circle, where we shared our thoughts and got ready for the day ahead. In our writing lesson, we focused on tracing the lowercase letter /l/ — which was quite easy for our Shooting Star students! On Friday, we had our writing assessment, and we’re happy to share that everyone is making great progress in their writing skills and letter recognition. Well done, everyone!

月曜日は祝日でしたが、今週も学びと楽しい活動がいっぱいの、充実した一週間となりました。

週のはじめはいつも通り「モーニングサークル」からスタートしました。子どもたちは自分の気持ちを共有しながら、その日一日の準備を整えていきました。ライティングのレッスンでは、小文字の「l」のトレース（なぞり書き）に取り組みました。Shooting Starクラスの子どもたちにとってはとても簡単だったようです！
金曜日にはライティングのアセスメント（評価）を行いましたが、どの子も文字の認識や書く力がしっかりと伸びてきており、とても嬉しく思っています。みんな、よくがんばりました！

In our Unit of Inquiry (UOI), we held our reflection interviews. We asked questions like:

Who are the community helpers?

What is this community helper’s job?

Why do they help other people?

It was a wonderful opportunity to hear how much the children have understood and remembered. They spoke with confidence and curiosity!

探究の時間（UOI）では、リフレクション・インタビューを行いました。以下のような質問を通して、子どもたちがどれだけ学びを理解し、記憶しているかを確認しました：

• コミュニティ・ヘルパー（地域の助けてくれる人たち）には誰がいるの？
• このコミュニティ・ヘルパーの仕事は何？
• なぜ人々を助けてくれるの？

子どもたちは、自信を持って、そして興味深く答えてくれました。学びがしっかりと身についていることを感じる、素晴らしい時間となりました。

Our gym lesson on Wednesday was filled with energy and excitement. The students explored different ways to use a ball through various exercises, both individually and with partners. They also learned a new game called Chain Tag. Everyone listened carefully as Ms. Airi explained the rules, and they played the game with enthusiasm. It was so much fun!

水曜日の体育のレッスンでは、エネルギーに満ちた楽しい時間を過ごしました。ボールを使って、一人で、あるいはペアになってさまざまな動きを試しながら、新しい運動に挑戦しました。また、「手つなぎ鬼」という新しいゲームにも挑戦しました。あいり先生の説明をよく聞き、ルールを守りながら、みんなで元気いっぱい楽しみました！

During gym time, we also took the opportunity to present a thank you card to Mr. Hojo, our school bus driver, as part of our appreciation for community helpers. The children were proudy, “Thank you, Mr. Hojo, for driving us safely!”

そして、コミュニティ・ヘルパーの方々に感謝の気持ちを伝える一環として、スクールバスの運転手であるMr.Hojoに感謝のカードを贈りました。子どもたちは、「Mr.Hojo、安全に運転してくれてありがとう！」と元気にお礼を伝えていましたよ。

On Thursday, the weather was just perfect for some outdoor exploration. We visited Shonai Park, where the children enjoyed the challenging play structures. Many of them were risk-takers, bravely trying new equipment for the first time. It was a joy to watch them play, explore, and support one another.

木曜日はお天気にも恵まれ、戸外活動にはぴったりの日でした。庄内公園を訪れ、子どもたちは少し勇気のいる難易度の高い遊具に夢中になって遊びました。初めての遊具にも勇敢に挑戦する姿がたくさん見られ、「リスクテイカー」としての成長を感じました。みんなで支え合いながら楽しむ姿がとても素敵でした！
