Nagano Milky Way: Milky Way Leads the Recycling Campaign (Sept. 24th-26th)

This week, our Milky Way class proudly led a campus campaign on recycling as part of their unit of inquiry action. Taking what they learned about caring for the Earth, the students wanted to share their knowledge with the rest of the school and inspire others to take action too.

Milky Way students visited Aurora and Shooting Star classes to explain why recycling is important for our planet and how even small steps can make a big difference. They talked about how we can recycle in our own little ways and showed that everyone can be part of protecting the Earth.

As part of their action, Milky Way also prepared three recycling boxes for:

  • 🟦 Plastic
  • 🟩 PET bottles
  • 📄 Paper

The boxes are now placed in the hallway so that the whole school community can see them and participate in this meaningful goal of recycling.

Through this campaign, Milky Way showed that taking action doesn’t have to be big—it starts with awareness, teamwork, and the courage to share what you’ve learned. We are proud of our students for leading by example and inspiring us all to become more responsible in caring for the environment. 🌱💚

Music Lesson
In our Music lesson, we have started learning to play the song Imagine by John Lennon. This song inspires us to imagine a world that is nice and peaceful. Here is the link to the YouTube video that we listen to. The boy in this video inspired us to have the courage to sing this song and play the piano, as well.
