Greetings!
As we end our unit of inquiry 2, we had an assessment where the students did a role play. They chose one of our daily goals, worked as a team, and then acted out how they were going to achieve their chosen goal. It’s good to see them excel in what they are doing and apply what they have learned throughout the entire unit. Good work, Rainforest!

As we welcome the new month of October, we also start our unit of inquiry 3, where we are discussing “Storytelling.” For our provocation, we read a story and identified each character from it. After that, the students had a chance to see some characters from different stories, and some shared the story of each character. They were so happy and excited when they saw the stuffed toys! Lastly, they shared their ideas about what our next unit will be about. Some said it’s about “characters,” while others thought it might be about “books, animation, stuffed toys, or video making.” Good guessing!

As part of our new unit of inquiry, our little ones have new toys and costumes to play with during our free play and workstation time! They are enjoying wearing costumes a lot, reading various stories, and bringing some books for show and tell. Others are making their own personal books, as they know how to do it because we discussed it in Unit 1, focusing on how to recycle books and create new ones using recycled paper. It’s so amazing that even though we have already moved on to Unit 3, they are still applying what they learned from the past units. Excellent job, inquirers!

In our phonics lesson, we had a new lesson about “blends and digraphs.” This week, we focused on learning “br” and “bl.” For their assessment, the students were asked to think of a word that starts with the blends “br” and “bl,” write them on the board, and we read them all together. Most of them were able to provide some examples. Good job!
