Our students began their new Unit of Inquiry, “How We Organize Ourselves,” exploring how people work together to make a community function smoothly. Our first line of inquiry, “Our responsibilities as members of the community,” helped students understand that everyone plays an important role — whether at home, at school, or in the wider city.

To bring this idea to life, the students had their first experience of serving lunch at school! It was a wonderful opportunity for them to practice being caring, responsible, and helpful members of our classroom community.

They took turns serving food, helping friends, and making sure everyone had a happy lunchtime. Through this activity, students learned that being part of a community means working together, showing kindness, and taking care of one another.
It was a day full of learning, teamwork, and smiles! 🌟
