Hello Everyone!
This week went by so fast that we hardly noticed that its Friday once again. Everyone got busy squeezing in different activities within the week. From Halloween dance practice, Halloween Trick or treat bag making, Introduction of the new monthly theme which is about comparison or opposites, to Making sure we get to go have our outside play, we had our gym lesson, we enjoyed our music lesson and much more. Whew! These little ones worked hard like busy bess and did their best this week.
Monthly Theme – Comparison
This week we had an introduction of our new monthly theme which is about comparison. Kids are learning about things that are opposite like big elephant, small mouse and more. During one of our walks outside, on our way to the park we passed by an on going construction site. There we saw big machines that made loud noises, kids were quick to point out that the sound was too loud, then after passing the construction site it became quiet again. Kids can tell loud and quiet by observing our surroundings and experiencing it in real life. This are just some ways we can learn about our new theme. There are a lot of things that we can observe and compare. This coming week we will explore more and do lots of activities that will help the kids learn more with regards to are theme.

Halloween
We are busy preparing for an upcoming big event this month of October and that is Halloween of course🎃👻. We are so excited for Halloween that everyday kids are hard at work in practicing the Halloween Dance. They are also busy preparing and making things we need for the event. We already made our Trick or Treat bag. We painted it orange then added some eyes and a mouth to make a Jack-O-Lantern treat bag. Then we personalized it by putting their names on it. While making the bag, we challenged the kids by asking them what is the beginning letter of their names then they had to look for it among the names that were placed on the table. Amazingly most of them could tell the beginning letter of their names. They could also somehow recognize the other letters that form their name and how it’s spelled out. Some of them knows their peers names too. WOW!
Next on the list we will make a Piñata. We are counting the days til its halloween day. Have you picked out the kids Halloween costumes yet? How about your Halloween costumes?
Outside Free Play
In Rainbow, we love our outside walks and free play time at the park, so much so that we make sure we do get to go everyday and we get to spend enough time outdoors. These little ones need to strengthen their bodies more, burn their energy and enjoy the nature. And being outside and playing in the park, tick all the boxes, spending some time outdoors is so beneficial to their overall well being, they to get to burn their energy, they get to eat well and sleep well during nap time plus everyone always have a blast when we go play outside.
