As the cool November breeze arrives, our Shooting Star students have been busier than ever! From learning about living things in UOI to rehearsing for the Christmas show, having fun in gym, and saying a heartfelt goodbye to a special teacher, this month has been full of learning, laughter, and love. Here’s a glimpse into our wonderful week together.
11月の涼しい風が吹き始め、Shooting Starクラスの子どもたちはこれまで以上に元気いっぱいに活動しています！
UOIでの「生き物」についての学び、クリスマスショーの練習、ジムレッスンでの楽しい時間、そして特別な先生とのお別れなど、今月は学び・笑顔・愛情にあふれた1か月になりました。ここでは、そんな素敵な1週間の様子をお伝えします。
In our UOI lessons, the Shooting Star class continued exploring the characteristics of living things. Earlier, they learned that living things can move, grow, and breathe. This week, they discovered another special trait — living things can have babies or make more of their own kind! The students observed pictures of animals and humans with their babies and noticed that all living things have offspring. To make the lesson even more exciting, they played a matching game with pictures of mother animals and their babies.
To check their understanding of LOI 1: The different types of living and non-living things around us, they completed a worksheet where they colored living things in green and non-living things in red. Everyone followed the instructions beautifully and did an amazing job! 🌿❤️
UOIのレッスンでは、「生きているものの特徴」についての探究を続けています。
これまでに「生きているものは動いたり、成長したり、呼吸したりする」ことを学びました。
今週はさらに「生きているものは赤ちゃんを産んだり、自分と同じ仲間を増やすことができる」という新しい特徴も発見しました！
動物や人間の親子の写真を観察し、すべての生き物には“子ども”がいることに気づいた子どもたち。
レッスンの最後には、動物の親と赤ちゃんをマッチングさせる楽しいゲームも行い、笑顔でいっぱいの時間になりました。
It’s November, which means it’s time to prepare for our Christmas show! The Shooting Star students have started practicing their dances and lines for their roles in “The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf.” They’ve been having so much fun singing, dancing, and bringing their characters to life since last month. Starting next week, we’ll focus more on memorizing lines and learning how to move confidently on stage. We can already tell it’s going to be a wonderful performance! 🌟
11月といえば、いよいよクリスマスショーの準備の時期です！
Shooting Starクラスの子どもたちは『The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf（羊飼いの少年とオオカミ）』の劇に向けて、ダンスやセリフの練習を始めました。
先月から歌ったり踊ったりしながら、自分の役になりきって練習を楽しんでいます。
来週からはセリフの暗唱や、ステージ上で自信をもって動く練習に力を入れていきます。
すでにとても素敵なショーになりそうな予感がしています！🌟
Gym lessons resumed this week, and everyone was thrilled to be back! The students missed running around the gym, playing tag, and doing exercises with their gym teacher. They also enjoyed fun partner activities and a creative game using a jump rope that pretended to be a snake! The students had to move quietly and carefully to avoid “waking up” the snake. It was a great way to practice balance, focus, and teamwork — with lots of giggles along the way! 🐍
今週からジムのレッスンも再開し、みんな大喜び！
久しぶりに広いジムを走り回ったり、鬼ごっこをしたり、先生と一緒に体を動かして楽しみました。
ペアで行うアクティビティや、「縄跳びがヘビに変身！」という想像力いっぱいのゲームにも挑戦。
「ヘビを起こさないように静かに動く」ゲームでは、バランス・集中力・チームワークを楽しく学びながら、笑い声が絶えませんでした。🐍
On Thursday, we spent a special time with Mr. Bobby and said goodbye to him during our afternoon circle. He will be moving to Tokyo with his wife to start a new and exciting chapter — beginning their family life together. The students drew pictures of their favorite memories with him and shared sweet stories about their time together. It was a touching and emotional moment — many of them had tears in their eyes as we said, “Thank you, Mr. Bobby! We will miss you!” ❤️
木曜日の午後のサークルタイムでは、Mr. Bobbyとのお別れの時間を過ごしました。
Mr. Bobbyは奥さまと一緒に東京へ引っ越し、新しい生活をスタートさせます。
子どもたちはこれまでの思い出を絵に描き、心温まるエピソードをシェアしました。
「Thank you, Mr. Bobby! We will miss you!（ありがとう、Mr. Bobby！さみしくなるね！）」と声をかけながら涙ぐむ子もいて、とても感動的な時間になりました。❤️
This week reminded us how much our Shooting Stars are growing — not just in knowledge and skills, but also in kindness and care for others. From UOI discoveries to creative rehearsals and heartfelt goodbyes, our classroom continues to shine with joy and love. We’re so proud of each and every Shooting Star for their effort, teamwork, and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see what more November will bring as we keep learning and preparing for our big Christmas show!
今週は、Shooting Starの子どもたちが知識やスキルだけでなく、思いやりや優しさの面でも大きく成長していることを実感できる1週間でした。
