Hello everyone, it had been a while since we last explored the park, so even getting there felt exciting. The kids were thrilled to ride the bus pointing out trees, and anything that caught their eye along the way.
こんにちは！少し久しぶりの公園遊びにワクワクの子ども達。バスに乗り込み、道中の木々や目につく色々なものを指さして大喜びでした😊
When we arrived, the cool autumn breeze welcomed us. The children ran ahead, laughing. They had a blast playing with play structures. Then they began collecting the prettiest leaves they could find—bright reds, sunny yellows, and warm oranges. Their little hands were busy gathering autumn treasures, proudly showing off what they find.
公園に着くと、涼しい秋の風が迎えてくれました。ニコニコの笑顔で駆け出し、遊具で思いっきり遊ぶと、 こんどはきれいな葉っぱを集め始めました——鮮やかな赤、陽の光のような黄色、温かなオレンジ色。小さな手は秋の宝物を集めるのに忙しく、見つけたものを誇らしげに見せてくれた✨
As we explored around the park, the kids spotted tiny insects hiding under leaves. A sudden shout—“Mushrooms!”—sent everyone hurrying to see the small clusters growing. We looked closely, careful not to touch, just admiring the shapes and colors.
葉っぱの下に隠れる小さなテントウムシを見つけたりしていると、いきなり大きな声——「キノコ！」——にみんな急いで見に行くと、キノコを発見！触れないようにじっくり観察し、形や色をしばらく眺めていました。
We played, explored, and wandered until our plastic bags were full of leaves and our hearts were full of joy. A simple day, made special by the journey and the little discoveries along the way.
遊び、探検してビニール袋は葉っぱでいっぱいになり、みんなの心は喜びでいっぱいになりました。たくさんの小さな発見に、特別な一日となりました😊
✨ Week 2: Growing Confidence for Our Christmas Show! ✨
Practice makes perfect—and our little stars are proving it every day! This week marked our second week of practicing for our Christmas stage play, and we are so proud of how much the children are growing. 🌟
練習すれば上達する——小さなスターたちが毎日それを証明してくれています！クリスマスショーの劇の練習も2週目に入り、子どもたちの成長ぶりを誇らしく思っています🌟
Little by little, we can see their confidence blooming. Many of them are starting to use their big, brave voices, and it’s wonderful to watch them speak their lines with more clarity and excitement. Some are even beginning to add their own expressions and gestures!
少しずつ自信がついていっています。大きな声で勇気を出してセリフを言う子も増え、はきはきと、そしてワクワクしながら言う姿は本当に素晴らしいです。中には自分なりの表情や身振りを加え始めている子も！
We can truly feel their enthusiasm building for the big day. With each rehearsal, they shine a little brighter. 🎄❤️We can’t wait to see them light up the stage!
本番に向けてやる気が高まっていくのが実感できます。練習をするたびにキラキラしていくオーロラさんたち🎄❤️ステージで輝く姿を見るのが楽しみですね！
Exploring Emotions in UOI – Unit 2, LOI 2-Different feelings arise in different reasons and situations
As part of our Unit 2 inquiry, we invited each family to send a photo showing different feelings or emotions in real-life situations. This week, some of our students bravely stood in front of their classmates to share their photo and talk about how the moment made them feel.
ユニット2の探究の活動で、おうちでの生活の中で色々な感情や心情を表す写真を送っていただきました。勇気を出してお友達の前で写真を見せ、その時に感じた気持ちを話してくれたお友達がいました。
Their friends listened attentively, showing respect and curiosity as each presenter described the emotions in their picture. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to build confidence, practice speaking, and learn more about recognising feelings in themselves and others.
一人ひとりが写真の時の感情を説明するのを、しっかりと興味を持って聞いていました。子どもたちにとって、自信をつけ、話す練習をし、自分やお友達の感情を理解する力をつけるよい機会となりました。来週も引き続き、発表をしてもらいます☆

We celebrated this month’s birthday party with all classes gathered happily in the music room. Our November birthday celebrators were all smiles as their friends greeted them and sang a joyful “Happy Birthday.” The excitement grew even more when Ms. Fronie entertained everyone with her wonderful magic show—our students had such a fun and memorable time!
11月生まれのお友達のお誕生日会がありました。みんなからの「ハッピーバースデー」の歌にとても嬉しそうな笑顔😊さらにMs.Fronieの驚きのマジックショーで大盛り上がりでした。楽しい思い出の時間となりました！

We worked on our letter J activity this week, and the students had a wonderful time coloring the letter J for Jellyfish. They showed great creativity and colored their jellyfish beautifully and neatly. We’re also happy to see their fine motor skills improving—several students are now holding their crayons correctly.
今週はアルファベットの「J」のアクティビティをしました。クラゲの「J」にきれいに色を塗り、手先の器用さが上達している様子も見られてきました！
