Hi everyone! Welcome to our last blog of 2025! It goes without saying that this week’s highlight was the much-awaited Christmas show. Everyone did their absolute best to put the finishing touches on their performances. There was a lot to do—practicing for the play, rehearsing the music performance, and remembering the lyrics and dance moves for the opening and closing songs. As some students joined MW this year, it was their very first time setting foot on the stage. The rehearsal at the performing arts center definitely helped them realize how big the stage is and that having a clear and audible voice would be key to a successful show.

The pictures below capture the results of their hard work!

Congratulations on delivering such a wonderful performance—your very last one as preschoolers! You all did an amazing job. We are so proud of you! 🌟🎉
The students have been working hard to review ordinal numbers, and they are getting better at using them in their daily speech and writing activities. Our focus on UOI during workstation time has been consistent over the past few weeks. Revising and reviewing key content has helped students better understand the main ideas covered across all three lines of inquiry.

By the beginning of the week, everyone had finished making their dioramas and they presented their stories in front of their peers. We heard a few original stories as well as remakes of stories the students had heard before. It was fun to experience their individual creativity. Great work, Milky Way!

Unit 3 was very interesting and fun filled for us all. Over the past weeks, our 6-year-olds explored emotions, feelings, and storytelling under the broad theme of How We Express Ourselves. Through stories, role plays, and discussions, they learned to identify different emotions and talk about how characters feel and why. The children practiced expressing their own feelings using words, facial expressions, and actions. Storytelling activities helped them understand how emotions can shape a story and connect us to others. Overall, the unit encouraged creativity, empathy, and confidence in expressing themselves.
Thank you for reading our blog! We wish you a wonderful winter break. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
