Welcome back, and Happy New Year everyone!

新年あけましておめでとうございます。

In this first week back at school, we were greeted by the snow and took the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor gym lesson. Working together, the students built a snow fort and created a platform for sledding, showing great teamwork and cooperation. In addition, whenever time allowed during recess and break time, the students enjoyed snow play around the field.

新学期最初の週は雪に恵まれ、その機会を活かして屋外で体育の授業を行いました。子どもたちは協力し合いながら雪の砦を作り、そり遊び用の台も完成させました。チームワークを発揮し、とても充実した活動となりました。また、休み時間や昼休みには、時間の許す限り校庭で雪遊びを楽しみました。

Our current unit focuses on the culture and history of Japan. This week, we explored Japanese traditions, culture, and history by watching videos and learning about common traditions and their importance. We then extended our learning to early historical periods of Japan, such as the Jōmon and Yayoi periods.

現在の学習ユニットでは、日本の文化と歴史について学んでいます。今週は、動画を視聴しながら日本の代表的な伝統やその大切さについて理解を深めました。さらに、縄文時代や弥生時代など、日本の歴史的な時代についても学習を進めました。
