Hi everyone! Welcome to Milky way’s second blog of the month. We kicked off our week by celebrating the births of those born in February. This month, Ms.Ayako.F was in charge and she did amazig magic tricks. Everyone had a ball!Happy birthday to our dear MW students who were born in February! May this year be filled with joy and love for you.

The main activity everyone had been excited about for weeks was the chocolate-making activity! They all took turns melting chocolate. Then, they poured it into small paper cups and decorated them as they liked. 🍫

Happy Valentine’s day!!
Our phonics focus this week was “wr”.
We then read the book, “wrap it up” for our reading lesson. They reviewed some of the words they learned in the phonics lesson. Words such as “wren”,” wrap”, “wrist” and “write.”
For U.O.I., we focused on the jobs of police officers, teachers and chefs. The students delved deeper into what these jobs involve and gained a better understanding of these careers. Initially, many said they wanted to be police officers because they wanted to catch bad guys. After further discussion, they realized that police officers don’t just catch bad guys; the scope of their duties goes far beyond that. They help maintain order in society and keep people safe by making sure drivers follow safe speed limits, helping to prevent road accidents, injuries, and fatalities. The same goes for chefs and teachers. At first, many said they wanted to be chefs so they could make lots of money and cook tasty food for people. After further discussion, ideas such as, “I want to be a chef so I can travel around the world, cook different types of food, and make people happy by feeding them food they enjoy,” came up. “Teachers do not only teach, but they also play with kids and have fun with them.”

It was truly a week of deep discovery and in-depth learning.
~The week ahead~
The students are excited about next week’s open day, and we hope we can all make it one to remember since it will be their very last open day at preschool!
Thank you for reading our blog this week!Enjoy your weekend!
