This week, we really challenged ourselves in mathematics! We began learning how to add numbers to above ten. We’ve been using maths cubes and ten frames, and we even played a pizza-topping maths game to make practice extra fun. It’s definitely a challenge, but with practice and determination, we’ll soon be able to add up to twenty with accuracy!

今週は算数で本当に頑張りました！10を超える数の足し算を学び始めました。算数用キューブやテンフレームを使い、練習をもっと楽しくするためにピザトッピングの算数ゲームもしました。確かに難しいですが、練習と努力を重ねれば、すぐに20までの足し算を正確にできるようになります！

At the start of the week, we also began learning about road safety through Super Cat, the Safety Supercat. We made puppets so we could role-play how to cross the road safely in different situations, and we’ll continue this important theme into next week.

週の初めには、安全のスーパーキャット「スーパーキャット」を通じて交通安全の学習も始めました。様々な状況で安全に道路を横断する方法をロールプレイできるよう、人形を作りました。この重要なテーマは来週も継続して学びます。

In phonics, we focused on the air and ir sounds. We also did a sorting activity for ir / ar / or, as these can be tricky and confusing in words — everyone worked hard to listen carefully and spot the differences.

フォニックスでは、airとirの音に焦点を当てました。また、ir / ar / orの分類活動も行いました。これらは単語の中で扱いが難しく混乱しやすいからです。皆、注意深く耳を傾け、違いを見つけるために一生懸命取り組みました。

On Friday, we made Valentine’s crafts. They were colourful and looked wonderful! The children are excited to give them to someone they love.

金曜日にバレンタインの工作をしました。色鮮やかでとても素敵でした！子どもたちは、大切な人に渡すのを楽しみにしています。

We also had a special visit from our parents this week! The children loved having you join us, and they were so proud to show their English during lunch time.
