LOI 2 is all about getting from place to place safely—so, Waterfall students played a little RED Light GREEN Light and looked both ways before crossing the road! In fact, there are so many vehicles on the road! We had to ask— Where do the vehicles belong? Students thought carefully and said we should not stop cars in front of the Fire Station because the Fire Truck is there. They matched all the different vehicles around the community to their buildings and added some traffic signs for safety!

Waterfall students have been particularly excited about one really big, fast, and flying vehicle with long wings and a roaring engine. They couldn’t help but sprout wings of their own and take off during playtime in the schoolyard! What is this buzzing anticipation about?

Airplanes! Waterfall and Canyon went on a bus journey to Matsumoto Airport to learn all about connecting with the community, the country and the whole world! They stood on the observation deck and said bon voyage to an airplane taking off! The high-flying pilots waved as the students watched in amazement and wondered where they were going in such a hurry!

Waterfall had to wait a long, long time for our birthdays to roll around. Finally, time to celebrate- Happy Birthday to all of our big kids born in February!
