Canyon spent some time with our big buddies from the graduating class, Rainforest. Students from both classes paired up and explored the activities in Rainforest’s classroom. There was a good variety of activities – origami, writing, Karuto game, reading corner. Canyon had made origami tulips and presented them to Rainforest. All the best Rainforest in your new elementary school! Canyon was asked what they wanted to say to Rainforest. Canyon: “Thank you! I love you. Goodbye!”

UOI & LITERACY
We linked our UOI with literacy as we worked on spelling vehicle words like car and bus. In our activity sheet, we put the 3 letters together to form a word – CAR, BUS. Canyon did well and they could say “I go to school by CAR (or bus).” Canyon has been reviewing the alphabet by sorting them out into big capital letters and small letters. Magnetic letters are available in the classroom for free play and Canyon form their names with them.
