Our Last Week in Canyon:Mar 16-19

Appriciation for Canyon parents!

Thank you very much for coming to Ms. Serena’s farewell party last week. We were so happy to see many of you, and Ms. Serena was truly touched and deeply moved by your presence.

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful message video you created despite your busy schedules. It meant so much to all of us.

Until the very end, we have truly felt your love and support for the Canyon class.

Thank you again for everything.

BirthdayParty

The final BP of this school year was held, and all ISN children gathered in the playground to enjoy a party under the blue sky.

The teachers and students from the Savanna class taught us a song and dance called “Celebration,” and the party was filled with excitement as everyone moved their bodies and danced together with great enthusiasm!

Walks

This week, although it had been quite a while, we were able to go on several walks. Canyon paired up with a friend, held hands, and walked in two lines.

They followed our safety rules very well—walking on the inside of the sidewalk, keeping their eyes facing forward, and stopping immediately when they heard the teacher’s whistle. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to enjoy our walks safely together.

Graduation Ceremony

The Canyon class attended the graduation ceremony of the Rainforest class, who are their admired older friends. The ceremony was held at the small hall of the Matsumoto Performing Arts Centre and lasted about an hour.

They watched as the Rainforest students received their graduation certificates, listened to their future dreams, and enjoyed a wonderful handbell performance. It was truly impressive and inspiring!

Dear Parents,

Thank you very much for your warm support and cooperation throughout this school year.

Over the past year, the students in our Canyon class have grown tremendously both emotionally and physically. At the beginning of the year, many of them felt unsure and anxious about English and new environment. However, they can now understand English naturally and confidently express their thoughts in English. It has been truly inspiring to witness this transformation every day.

We have also shared many wonderful memories together. Canyon enthusiastically performed the bunny dance at the Sports Festival, enjoyed digging for sweet potatoes during our bus excursion, looked forward to our weekly park visits, and proudly participated in the English play at the Winter Show. Through each of these experiences, they gave their best and shared joy and a sense of achievement with their friends.

Through their interactions with one another, they have learned kindness and empathy, and have become increasingly independent. It has been a great joy to watch each student grow and shine in their own unique way.

We hope that the students will continue to take on new challenges with confidence and grow even further in the years to come.

Once again, thank you very much for a wonderful year.

Sincerely,

Ms Serena and Ms Hitoko
