Welcome back, families and explorers! We’re thrilled to kick off the new school year and can’t wait to share all the exciting adventures and learning experiences that Shooting Star Class has planned. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

ご家族の皆様、そして探検家の皆さん、おかえりなさい！新学期がスタートし、シューティングスタークラスが計画しているワクワクするような冒険や学びの体験を皆さんと共有できるのが待ち遠しいです。素晴らしい一年になりますように！

Springtime! It has truly been a magical break that brought us so many blossoms! So we visited the park to play and see the beautiful Sakura. To celebrate, we have already started bringing some of that beauty into the classroom with crafts of those pink blossoms for the Birthday Tree. In fact, we made leaved, rainbow flowers and cut out lots of other blossoms that we saw in the park, like dandelions.  Then we talked about our birthdays and put birthday birds in their birdhouses!

春到来！本当に魔法のようなひとときで、たくさんの花が咲き誇っています！そこで、公園へ遊びに行き、美しい桜を見に行きました。お祝いに、誕生日ツリーに飾るピンクの桜の花を使った工作を始め、教室にもその美しさを取り入れました。葉っぱのついた虹色の花を作ったり、公園で見かけたタンポポなどの花をたくさん切り抜いたりしました。それから、みんなで誕生日について話し合い、誕生日の鳥を巣箱に入れました！

Time to play! In fact, the weather has been lovely all week and it invited us outdoors everyday! We celebrated the season and played together, explored all of the parks in the area and the schoolyard.

さあ、遊ぶ時間だ！ 実は、今週はずっと天気が良くて毎日外に出たくなりました！ 季節の到来を祝い、みんなで遊んだり、近所の公園や学校の校庭を探検したりして楽しみました。

Time for work! We are practicing writing our names in bright, beautiful colors to decorate our class folders! We also did the ABC Stretch Dance to remember the alphabet sounds and stretch our writing muscles. It’s a wonderful way to see our skills evolve and progress as well as build our space together.

さあ、お仕事の時間です！クラスのフォルダーを飾るために、明るくてきれいな色で自分の名前を書く練習をしています！アルファベットの音を覚えたり、書くための筋肉を伸ばしたりするために、ABCストレッチダンスもしました。これは、私たちのスキルが向上し、成長していく様子を実感できるだけでなく、一緒に過ごす空間を作り上げていく素晴らしい方法です。

I am so thrilled to finally meet you all and begin our journey together. Heading back to school is always a special time, and as your new teacher, I’m especially excited to get to know each of you and celebrate all the milestones ahead. Spring has brought lots of growth and change. Shooting Star now has a new teacher, a new student, and made new decisions about our classroom agreements and jobs. All in all, it was a wonderful week and strong start to a happy year.

ついに皆さんとお会いできて、一緒に歩み始めることができて、本当に嬉しいです。新学期はいつも特別な時期ですが、新しい先生として、皆さん一人ひとりと知り合い、これからの様々な節目を一緒に祝えることを特に楽しみにしています。春は多くの成長と変化をもたらしました。シューティングスターには新しい先生と新しいお友達が加わり、教室でのルールや役割についても新たな決定がなされました。すべてにおいて素晴らしい一週間であり、幸せな一年の力強いスタートとなりました。
