Welcome back to our weekly blog! This week was a bright and cheerful one as we enjoyed the sunny spring weather. We had the opportunity to visit the park together with the middle and upper grades, which was a wonderful chance to build stronger connections with students across our school.

今週のブログへようこそ！今週は、春の暖かく明るい天気に恵まれた一週間でした。中学年・高学年の児童と一緒に公園で遊ぶ機会もあり、他学年の児童との交流を深める良い時間となりました。

One highlight of the week was our cherry blossom viewing picnic during lunchtime. It was a lovely experience to enjoy the outdoors together while appreciating the beauty of spring.

また、ある日の昼休みには、外でお花見ピクニックを楽しみました。春の美しさを感じながら、みんなで楽しいひとときを過ごすことができました。

In our unit learning, we gathered ideas through different resources, including a walk around the school and watching videos. We then worked in teams to present what we had learned—this reflects the “Finding Out” stage of our inquiry cycle. Our guiding question is: What is it like in each season?

ユニット学習では、学校周辺の散策や動画など、さまざまな方法を通してアイデアを集めました。その後、チームで学んだことを発表しました。これは探究サイクルにおける「調べる（Finding Out）」の段階にあたります。今回の問いは「それぞれの季節はどのような様子なのか？」です。

Lastly, each student received a beetle larva and learned how to create a suitable habitat for it. We will observe our larvae daily and are excited to see them grow and eventually emerge as beetles in the summer!

最後に、ひとりひとりがカブトムシの幼虫を受け取り、適切な飼育環境の作り方を学びました。これから毎日観察を続け、夏に成虫として出てくるのを楽しみにしています。
