みなさん、こんにちは
ゴールデンウィークが明け、子ども達の元気な笑顔と活気がスクールに戻ってきました。休暇中の出来事や、家族との思い出を嬉しそうに語る子ども達は一段と逞しく成長したようです。新しい事への興味や挑戦する心も育っているようです。
東京インテリアの近くの公園まで初めて春いて行きました。スクールを出発する前に守るべき約束事について話し合いました。2人1組の列になって歩く、前を見て歩く、道の端を歩く、前の人との間隔が空き過ぎないようにする、横断歩道では手を挙げて渡るなど、たくさんの約束事がありました。そしてその約束事にはひとつひとつに意味があることを理解してもらう為に、もしルールを守らなかったら、どんな事が起ると思うか質問してみました。「転んじゃう」「車にぶつかっちゃう」「痛い、痛いになる」などの意見が聞けました。想像力や経験値から考え出した子ども達なりの答えに関心し、誇らしく思いました。
次に公園では、初めて使う遊具での安全な遊び方のルールについて説明しました。子ども達は早く遊び出したい気持ちを抑え、しっかり先生の話を聞きました。その後、元気いっぱいに遊びました。新しい事への挑戦は子ども達の瞳をこんなにも美しく輝かせてくれました。
Hello everyone!
After Golden Week, our children’s cheerful smiles and energy have returned to the school. The children, happily recounting their holiday experiences and memories with their families, seem to have grown even stronger. Their interest in new things and their willingness to try new things also seem to be developing.
We had the first walking to a park near Tokyo Interior. Before leaving school, we discussed the rules we needed to follow. There were many rules, such as walking in pairs, looking ahead, walking on side of road, no big gap, and raising their hands when crossing the street. To help them understand the meaning behind each rule, we asked them what they thought might happen if they didn’t follow them. We heard answers like, “I might fall,” “I might get hit by a car,” and “It’s Ouch” we are impressed and proud of the children’s answers, which they came up with based on their imagination and experience.
Next, at the park, we explained the rules for safe play on the playground equipment, which they were using for the first time. The children, suppressing their eagerness to start playing, listened attentively to the teachers. Afterwards, they played with great energy. Trying something new made the children’s eyes shine so beautifully.
教室内でも、人の話を聞く時の態度について話し合っています。椅子には正しい姿勢で座り、話している人に顔（目）を向ける、耳を澄ますなどです。その過程において、子ども達が集中できる環境、話題、話し方など私達教師側が工夫する必要性も痛感しています。子ども達も相手の方を向いて元気に挨拶したり、クラスの前に出て発表する時も大きな声で自信をもって話せるようになってきました。素晴らしいです！
We’re discussing how to listen to others in the classroom. This includes things like sitting with good posture, facing the speaker (making eye contact), and listening attentively. In the process, we teachers are keenly aware of the need to be creative in creating an environment, topics, and speaking styles that allow the children to concentrate. The children have also started to face the person they’re talking to and greet them cheerfully, and they’re now able to speak loudly and confidently when they come to the front of the class to give presentations. It’s wonderful!
振り返って、、、母の日のプレゼントは喜んで頂けましたか？子ども達は大好きなママにプレゼントするブレスレットを夢中で作りました。持ち帰る前にはママに渡す練習もしたんですよ！うまくできたかな？！
Looking back… Moms! did you like their Mother’s Day present? Our children were engrossed in making bracelets to give to their beloved moms. They even practiced giving them to their moms before taking them home! I wonder if they did a good job?!
