Why We Ask
Two meanings of “a world of choice”
A learning environment built on local resources
Using the resources of the region — its nature, people, culture, history, climate, food, skills and knowledge — ISN builds a learning environment that reaches beyond textbooks and classrooms, together with the people of this region.
Two “worlds”
In “a world of choice for every child”, the word world carries two meanings: the international world, and “your own dream, your own world”. ISN is a place where children find their own dream and build the strength to make it real.
That dream, for as many children as possible
We keep working so that as many children as possible can realize that dream — bringing the chance of “glocal” (global + local) learning to more regions and more children.
How Your Gift Is Used
Will you help us build the school?
Your donations are used in the following three ways.
Scholarships
ISN offers needs-based scholarships according to each family’s circumstances. Donations help us offer a world of choice to more children, and to keep doing so.
Developing our teaching method
Part of the donations goes towards establishing ISN’s own teaching method — programme development for inquiry-based learning, training for teachers, repairs to facilities, and buying teaching materials and books.
Facilities and equipment
Donations are used to build the learning environment: repairs and improvements so children can learn comfortably and safely, and maintenance of play equipment and vehicles.
How to Support
How to support ISN
There are two ways to give: Monthly Support, a continuing monthly gift, and Open Giving, at any time and in any amount you choose.

Monthly Support: from ¥3,000 a month
Open Giving: any amount, at any time
Both are handled on the same application page.
On the form, choose whether to give monthly or as a one-off.
About the tax deduction
For donations, 40% of the amount exceeding ¥2,000 may be deducted directly from the donor’s income tax liability.
*The eligible donation amount is limited to 40% of the donor’s total income for the relevant year.
*The amount of the tax credit is limited to 25% of the donor’s income tax liability for the relevant year.
