Grade 6 kicked off the new semester with energy, excitement, and plenty of learning adventures!

🎶 A Musical Treat
The students had the chance to attend an incredible concert as part of the Seiji Ozawa Festival. The performers didn’t just play beautiful music—they also explained the instruments and brought the whole performance to life. By the end, students weren’t just tapping their feet to the rhythm—they could also proudly identify the different instruments on stage.

🚨 Disaster Drill Practice
To make sure everyone is prepared for emergencies, the school carried out a disaster drill. Students practiced ducking under tables for cover and then moved quickly and calmly during a fire evacuation. The entire school completed the drill in just 2 minutes and 30 seconds—a fantastic display of teamwork and listening skills!

🐕 Police Dog Show
Students were also wowed by a thrilling police dog demonstration. The highly trained dogs showed off their skills—following complex routes and even identifying students by their unique scent. But the best part? When the students got to meet and pet the dogs themselves! The courtyard was filled with laughter, squeals, and lots of wagging tails.

🌾 Rice Harvest
Another highlight was the rice harvest. After months of caring for the rice fields, students finally got to see the fruits of their hard work. Harvesting gave them a deeper appreciation of the effort farmers put into growing food. Many students left the fields muddy, tired, and smiling—grateful for every grain of rice on their plates.

✨ With music, safety training, adorable dogs, and a real farming experience, Grade 6 has truly had a memorable start to Semester 2!
