Greeting from the Program Coordinator

Jord Jongerius

Program Coordinator

Hello! I’m Jord Jongerius, the Elementary Program Coordinator at ISN.

At ISN, we don’t just learn English – we use it. Through inquiry-based lessons, campus events, and exchange programs for upper-grade students, students experience English in action every day.

During each Unit of Inquiry (UOI), teachers check students’ prior knowledge and explore their questions together. Students post their ideas on the Wonderwall, helping create the Lines of Inquiry that guide our learning. Teachers act as guides, supporting students’ exploration rather than simply delivering knowledge.

Over four years at ISN, I’ve seen students become truly inquisitive learners. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn are inspiring. It’s also amazing to see my own son, who attends our preschool, talk excitedly about new words, experiences, and memories from school.

I look forward to seeing our students continue to grow at ISN.
