Hello, Shooting Star families!👋

It’s June and it means Ms. Fronie is back! Shooting Star students and Ms. Fronie welcomed each other with a big smile and happy greeting! The day filled with sweet messages such as “I missed you, Ms. Fronie. I love you, Ms. Fronie!” How sweet they are!!!😍

6月に入り、Ms.Fronieが帰ってきました！Shooting Starの子どもたちとMs.Fronieは、満面の笑みで楽しく挨拶を交わしました！“I missed you, Ms. Fronie. I love you, Ms. Fronie!” なんて優しい子たちなんでしょう😍。

Monday is a special day for us because we went to Mr. Koyama’s farm to plant sweet potatoes. Everybody listened and followed his instructions on how to plant the sweet potatoes. They did their best to dig the soil and put the sweet potato slips in it. They also worked together to water them and cover them with rice and wheat straws to protect them from too much sunlight. The inquirers asked many questions about growing sweet potatoes and learned a lot from Mr. Koyama. Thank you so much, Mr. Koyama and family, for this wonderful experience and for letting us visit and touch the chickens. We had so much fun!!!😀

月曜日は私たちにとって特別な日でした。小山さんの畑にサツマイモを植えに行かせていただきました。サツマイモの植え方について、みんな小山さんの話をよく聞いて、一生懸命に土を掘り、サツマイモの苗を植えました。水やりや、日差しを避けるために稲わらや麦わらで覆いをする作業も、みんなで力を合わせて行いました。SSさんたちはサツマイモの栽培について多くの質問をし、小山さんから多くのことを学んでいました。小山さん、ご家族の皆さん、このような素晴らしい体験をさせていただき、ニワトリに触らせていただき、本当にありがとうございました。とても楽しかったです！！😀。

Every year, the school is doing a Traffic Safety Class in coordination with the city hall. Students were reminded how to be safe when riding a car and walking on the roads. After the lecture, they practice how to cross the road safely. When we went to the park, Shooting Star students remembered what they learned and applied it when they crossed the road.🚦

ISNでは毎年、市役所と連携して交通安全教室を開催しています。SSさんたちは、車に乗るときや道路を歩くときの安全について再確認しました。お話の後は、道路の安全な渡り方を練習しました。公園に行ったとき、SSさんたちは学んだことを思い出し、道路を横断するときに実践していました🚦。

Everyone enjoyed playing in our home corner wherein they have a kitchen area, laundry area, and dining area just like a real house. Students choose their role in the family and do their responsibilities in their role playing.🏠

キッチン、ランドリー、ダイニングなど、本物の家のようなホームコーナーで、みんな楽しく遊んでいます。SSさんたちは家族の中で自分の役割を選び、その役割を果たすというロールプレイをしました🏠。

We are looking forward to our school open day on Monday and playdate with Savannah and elementary students on Thursday! It’s going to be another fun and exciting week!🤩
