Welcome to our first blog for the month of November.
This week Shooting Star class has started practicing for the Christmas Show. We expressed the different types of feelings that we learned from our unit of inquiry through our facial expressions and body movements. We practiced saying the lines all together from beginning to end to get familiar with all the lines. We also went through the song and dance. The first week of rehearsal went well so far. When the teacher asked students if they liked the Ali Baba and the Four Thieves story, all of them exclaimed with a loud Yes! When asked why? They said it’s funny and we liked fighting with the bad guys. Everyone is motivated! We also touched the topic on how to solve the problems as we decided at the beginning of the unit that we want to learn how to express our feelings in an appropriate manner and understand the feelings of others. In line with this, students were tasked to sort out the pictures given to them between good (kind) or not good (unkind) by group followed by a class discussion. Shooting Star class engaged in the discussion by sharing their own thoughts and ideas about the situation in the pictures.
クリスマスショーの練習が少しずつ始まりました✨今年、シューティングスターでは「アリババと4人の盗賊」の劇を披露する予定です。何冊か読んだ中から、子どもたちが「これがいい!」と言って決めました😊今週は、みんなで「ひらけ~〇〇」と同じセリフを言ったり、劇中のダンスを楽しんだり💖練習というよりは、遊びに近い形でお話に親しみをもつことを重点におきました!盗賊になりきって、声色を変えたり、アリババになりきって勇敢に戦ったり、、、「このキャラクターはどんな気持ちだと思う?」「じゃあ、どういう表情をすればいい?」と話し合いながら練習しました。みんなキャーキャー大喜びで楽しんで取り組んでいました😊
We had phonics and writing lesson. For phonics, we learned the -op word family; mop, hop, cop, etc. After the lesson, we completed the worksheet activity and we made CVC words with our playdough. For writing, students traced and practiced writing the lowercase letter w on the worksheet and the teacher checked afterwards.
フォニックスでは、「-op」のワードファミリーを学びました。小文字も理解し、読めるようになってきた子ども達。最近では、「これはなんて読むんだろう?」と自ら挑戦していたり、いろんなところでサイトワードを見つけては、教えに来てくれています😊
