Welcome to our last blog for the month of February!
At ISN, we prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels empowered to explore their interest without pressure. This week, our preschoolers have made tremendous strides in their independence and confidence! One of the highlights was witnessing them unpack their belongings with minimal assistance – a testament to their growing self-reliance. Our young learners are also making great progress with toilet training and demonstrating their ability to take care of their own needs by changing and learning to flip their clothes by themselves. In the classroom, they’re embracing the freedom to choose their activities, whether it’s engaging with our morning work stations, such as tracing, coloring letters, and matching family members with their shadows, socializing with friends, or getting lost in a good book.
In Gym lesson, our young learners enthusiastically participate in a range of physical activities, from energetic exercise to fun games like ‘Bee Tag’ and rope jumping challenges, showcasing their gross motor skills.
Our preschoolers thrived outdoors this week. During outside play and park visit, they explored, imagined, and collaborated with peers. Whether creating games or simply enjoying nature. They developed essential social skills and stimulated their creativity.
This week, we have seen our preschoolers flourish as they: Independently select activities that spark their curiosity, develop and strengthen friendships, practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills, take pride in dressing and undressing themselves, including learning to flip their clothes, explore and discover the world around them through outdoor play. These milestones are direct reflection of our IB philosophy, which emphasizes student-centered learning, self-discovery, and growth. We are thrilled to see our preschoolers thriving in this supportive community and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
