Prancing Princesses in the playroom- Aurora- (October 20-24)

This week, our class participated in a fire evacuation drill. The office rang the bell to signal the start of the drill, and all the students quickly evacuated outside. The children learned that when they hear the alarm, they must stop what they are doing, line up quietly, and follow the teacher to the safe area.

When the bell rang, everyone listened carefully and followed instructions very well. The children walked calmly in line, keeping their hands to themselves and staying close to their teachers. Once we reached the designated evacuation area outside, we counted everyone to make sure all students were safe and present. The children waited patiently until we received the signal to return to the classroom.

After returning to class, we had a reflection time. Many children shared their thoughts about the experience—some said the bell was very loud, while others mentioned they were a bit surprised but remembered to stay calm. We discussed how practicing helps us know what to do if there is ever a real emergency and how important it is to listen to teachers and stay with the group.

We are proud of how responsibly the children participated in the drill. It was a great opportunity for them to learn about safety, responsibility, and teamwork.

Prancing Princesses in the playroom

Later in the week, our classroom was filled with excitement as the students transformed into princesses! Everyone had fun dressing up, role-playing, and using their imagination. They enjoyed playing cheerfully with the dress on, just like real princes and princesses! It was a delightful way for them to express creativity and build confidence.

The students had fun making their Halloween bags and used yarn to thread around the edges to decorate them.

Thank you for this week. Keep warm and see you next week.
