Welcome to our weekly blog!
As part of our ongoing inquiry into transportation, we continue to remind students about the importance of staying safe when using different forms of transportation in their daily lives. Each day, we revisit safety rules and discuss how they can make responsible choices when traveling.
This week, we explored what students remembered from last week’s learning about road safety and how to stay safe when getting in and out of their parents’ cars. The children eagerly shared their knowledge and personal experiences, explaining how they follow rules such as wearing seatbelts, holding an adult’s hand, and looking both ways before crossing the street.
It has been wonderful to hear them make real-life connections and demonstrate their understanding of how to keep themselves safe. We are proud of the thoughtful discussions and reflections they have shared!

Picture-guided transportation craft
As we recalled the different types of transportation and their features, we asked each student to choose which type of transportation they would like to create for their craft. We prepared various pre-cut shapes to represent the different features of each vehicle and provided a guided picture for students to follow.
Using their thinking skills, the students carefully assembled their chosen transportation. They thoughtfully selected the correct shapes and positioned them to match the features shown in the guide.

A Trip to the Local Airport
We were blessed with lovely weather for our trip to the local airport. The students were very excited and eager to see a real airplane up close!
As part of our inquiry into transportation, the children had the opportunity to observe an airplane from the airport viewing deck. Seeing it in real life was an exciting experience. They eagerly described its features, sharing observations such as, “It’s big!”, “It’s fast!”, and “It has wings!” The students noticed how high it flew in the sky and pointed out that it has tires to move along the ground before takeoff.
The children were also able to look inside the airport and see where passengers check in and wait for their flights. This helped them make meaningful connections between our classroom discussions and the real world.
It was a wonderful learning experience for our students to see an actual airplane and airport in action. After our visit, we traveled by bus to a nearby park, where the children enjoyed some well-deserved playtime.
It was truly a memorable and enriching day for everyone! ✈️🌤️

We are excited to invite you to our Class Open Day on Monday the 16th. We are truly looking forward to your presence and to spending this special time together with you and your child.
As previously mentioned regarding the transportation craft activity, we kindly ask that you draw or plan the type of transportation you would like to create with your child in advance. Preparing a simple sketch beforehand will help you work together more smoothly and make the experience even more enjoyable.
Thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to see you on Monday!
