明けまして、おめでとうございます！2026年もよろしくお願いいたします。
年末年始の休日を終えて、レインボークラスの子ども達が園に戻ってきました！家族や親せき、お友達と思い思いに楽しく過ごした様子の子ども達の表情は活き活きとして、何だか逞しく一回りも二回りも大きくなったよう。クラスのお友達と久しぶりに会えた喜びを満面の笑顔や言葉で表現してくれる子、先生達に休暇中の楽しかった思い出や出来事を話してくれる子、それぞれが素晴らしい宝物（経験や学び）を得たに違いありません。とてもハッピーな年はじめの今週でした。
勿論、園でのルールやルーティーンも忘れていません。出欠確認は大きな声で”I am here！”と答え、元気に歌い、クラス活動にも集中して取り組みました。今週（今年）から、お天気の確認（歌と質問）を子ども達にチームでリードしてもらうことにしました。チームはみんなの前に出て、お手本となって天気の歌を歌い、クラスのみんなからの質問”How is weather today？”に答えます。チームワークなので答えもみんなで相談します。 ” It’s sunny!” 立派に答えるレインボー達、本当に誇らしい瞬間です。こうして（どんな天気でも）気持ちの良い朝が始まります！

After the New Year’s holiday, the Rainbow Class children returned to the school! Our children’s faces were lively and vibrant, as they enjoyed their time with family, relatives, and friends. They seemed to have grown twice as big and strong. Some children expressed their joy at seeing their classmates again with big smiles and words, while others shared with their teachers’ fun memories and events from their vacation. Each child has undoubtedly gained wonderful treasures (experiences and learning). This week marked a very happy start to the new year.
Of course, our children also remembered the rules and routines at the school. When checking attendance, they loudly said, “I am here!”, sang enthusiastically, and focused on class activities. Starting this week (this year), we asked the children to work in teams to lead weather checks (songs and questions). Teams stepped forward, setting an example by singing a weather song and answering questions from the classmate, such as, “How is the weather today?” It’s teamwork, so they discuss the answer together. “It’s sunny!” It’s a truly proud moment for the Rainbows to answer so brilliantly. And thus begins a pleasant morning (no matter what the weather)!
新年らしいクラフトとして「ダルマ」を作りました。子ども達は「だるまさんだー」と既にその存在を知っていました。お家にダルマがある子もいるようです。だるまさんの本を読んでもらい、少しダルマについてのお話しを聞いた後、いよいよダルマ作りに挑戦です。紙をちぎったり、貼ったりしてダルマの表情と飾りを作りました。同じ材料なのに全てが表情の異なる素晴らしい作品に仕上がりました。このだるまさんが、みんなを見守り、健康や幸せをもたらしてくれますように….
We made “Daruma” as a New Year’s craft. Our children already knew about Daruma. Some even had Daruma at home. After reading a book about Daruma and listening to a short story about Daruma, our children finally got to try making them. They tore and pasted paper to create the Daruma’s expressions and decorations. Even though they used the same materials, each one had a different expression, resulting in a wonderful piece. May this Daruma watch over everyone and bring them health and happiness…
今月のトピックは「乗り物」です。普段からよく目にする車や自転車から滅多に見ることのできないフェリーやロケットなども紹介しています。子ども達は乗り物が大好き！なのでこの話題には常に前のめりです（笑） クラスにあるフードトラックやソリ（クリスマスショーで使用したもの）も乗り物のひとつ。楽しく遊び込んでいます。
This month’s topic is “Transportations” We’re introducing everything from cars and bicycles that we see every day to ferries and rockets that we rarely see. Children love them! So, they’re always eager to talk about this topic. The food truck and sled (used in the Christmas show) in the classroom are also examples of transportations. They’re having a lot of fun playing with them.
レインボークラスで過ごす時間もあと3か月余りとなり、子ども達もオーロラクラスに進級する憧れや覚悟のようなものを感じ始めています。さあ、一日一日を大切に楽しく遊び、学び、自信や期待感をもってオーロラに向かおう！
With just over three months left in the Rainbow Class, our children are beginning to feel a sense of longing and determination to move up to the Aurora Class. So, let’s cherish each and every day, have fun playing and learning, and head to Aurora with confidence and anticipation!
