Hello Wonderful Families and friends,

Happy New Year!
We were so happy to welcome our kindergarteners back after the winter break. The children returned with big smiles and many wonderful stories to share about their holidays.

To help them express their feelings, we talked about what they did and where they went during the break. The students eagerly shared their experiences with their friends. After our discussion, they were asked to draw their favorite holiday memories on a sheet of paper.

冬休みが明け、かわいいみんなのニコニコの笑顔があつまり、お休みの間の素敵な思い出をたくさん話してくれました✨

お休みの間に何をしたこと、行ったところなど、みんなの前で自分の体験を発表して熱くれました☆そしてそれをみんなで絵に描いてみました！

Gym lesson

After the holiday, we wanted the children to regain their energy so they could stay active and keep warm as the temperature dropped. During the gym lesson, the gym was quite cold, so the students started by running and stretching. Ms. Airi then prepared a rope for the students to jump over. Through these activities, their bodies gradually warmed up.

寒い中ですが、子どもたちは元気いっぱい身体を動かしました😊気温もぐっと下がったので、まずランニングで体をと温めてからストレッチを。縄跳びのアクティビティでは、昨年の干支のへびさん（大繩）を、今年の干支のお馬さんに変身して飛び越えたり、うさぎさんになったり、ピョンピョンと2回連続ジャンプをしたりと、いろいろな跳び方でとび越えました。

Painting Activity
The students received pokkuri as a Christmas present. Before using them, we asked the students to paint them in their favorite colors. We hung them up to dry, and the students are excited to use them for outdoor play.

クリスマスショー生徒では、サンタさんにポックリをプレゼントしてもらったAuroraさんたち。まず絵の具で色を塗って自分たちのオリジナルぽっくりに仕上げました😊絵の具と筆の使い方を確認すると、さてどの色を塗ろうかな～、大好きなピンク！水色！黄色！など、ワクワクのお顔で塗り始めました。一色をきれいに塗り上げる子、いくつかの色で一面を塗ってみる子、色を塗った上に別の色を重ね塗りしてみる子など、色とりどりのポックリが出来上がりました✨乾いた後、遊ぶのをみんな楽しみにしています♪

Letter L tracing activity

We learned the alphabet L. The students practiced the sounds that start with the letter L, such as lion, leaf, lamp, lemon, and log. They traced the letter L in the air using their pointer fingers. After that, they completed a worksheet by tracing the letter L and coloring the pictures. The students also learned how to hold a pencil properly, following Ms. Kumi’s instructions.

Writingレッスンでは、アルファベット「L」を学びました。ライオン、葉っぱ、ランプ、レモン、丸太など、Lで始まる音の練習をし、人差し指でお空にLの字を書いたり、おしりで書いたりしてみました！ワークシートでは、書き方鉛筆を使って鉛筆の持ち方を教わりながらLの字をなぞったり、クレヨンで絵に色を塗りました。鉛筆の正しい持ち方の練習も始まりました。お父さん指・お母さん指・お兄さん指の3本を使って、正しい持ち方ができるよう練習していきます。

Music lesson

We had our first music lesson of the year. The students learned and sang a winter song in Japanese. They also tried a new activity using hoops, where they jumped in and out to the rhythm of the piano while counting how many jumps it took to move in and out of the hoops.

The students then participated in a color and stick rhythm activity. They tapped the red, white, and yellow cards in time with the piano rhythm. This activity helped develop good listening skills, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to follow instructions.

Musicレッスンでは、お餅つきの歌を歌ったり、リングを使ったリズム遊びに挑戦しました。ピアノのリズムに合わせてリングの中に入ったり出たりしながら、リングをくぐるのに必要なジャンプの回数を数えたりしました。スティックを使ったリズム遊びでは、ピアノのリズムに合わせて赤・白・黄色のカードを叩きました。聴く力、手と目の協調性、説明に従う力を養うとてもよい練習でした！
