This week was full of excitement, learning, and special moments with our friends!
今週は、ワクワクする出来事や学び、そしてお友だちとの特別な時間がたくさん詰まった一週間でした！
On Monday, we celebrated the birthdays of our friends born in March. The children enjoyed a wonderful panel theater performance by Ms. Tomoe, where vehicles magically transformed into cakes! Everyone had so much fun chanting together and pretending to cast magical spells.
月曜日には、3月生まれのお友だちのお誕生日をお祝いしました。子どもたちは、ともえ先生による楽しいパネルシアターを楽しみました。乗り物が魔法のようにケーキに変わるお話で、みんなで掛け声を言ったり、魔法をかける真似をしたりして大盛り上がりでした。
With only two weeks left before Milky Way’s graduation, the Shooting Star students have been preparing something special. While remembering the fun times we shared together, they worked on making secret presents for their friends. We also made a lovely chain decoration! We are already looking forward to next week’s farewell party. 🎉
Milky Way のお友達の卒園まで残り2週間となり、Shooting Starさんたちは特別な準備をしています。一緒に過ごした楽しい時間を思い出しながら、お友だちへの秘密のプレゼント作りに取り組みました。また、きれいなチェーン飾りも作りました。来週のフェアウェルパーティーが今からとても楽しみです。🎉
In our reading lesson, the students read the story “The Ant.” The story included sight words, CVC words, and simple four-letter words such as went, bent, and hands. They did a fantastic job blending the sounds and reading with growing confidence. 🌟
リーディングの時間には「The Ant（アリ）」というお話を読みました。このお話には、サイトワードやCVCワード、went、bent、hands などの4文字の簡単な単語が含まれていました。子どもたちは音を上手につなげながら読み、自信を持って読むことができていて、とても素晴らしかったです。🌟
After reading, we had an interesting discussion about celebrations in Thailand. One of our friends, who is half Japanese and half Thai and recently visited Thailand last month, shared about Songkran and Loy Krathong. The class compared these festivals with other celebrations they know, such as New Year and Setsubun, and talked about their similarities and differences. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures around the world. 🌏
読み終わった後には、タイの行事について興味深い話し合いをしました。先月タイを訪れたSちゃんが、ソンクラーンとロイクラトンについて紹介してくれました。子どもたちは、お正月や節分など自分たちの知っている行事と比べながら、似ているところや違うところについて話しました。世界のさまざまな文化について学ぶ、とても良い機会になりました。🌏
We also attended the final gym lesson of the year. Thanks to daily practice, the children can now jump rope together—jumping in, stopping, jumping again, and getting out smoothly. Ms. Airi praised everyone and mentioned how impressive it is that the Shooting Star students can do this at such a young age!
また、今年度最後のジムレッスンにも参加しました。毎日の練習のおかげで、子どもたちは大縄跳びでタイミングよく入って、止まって、また跳んで、スムーズに抜けることができるようになりました。あいり先生も、こんなに小さな年齢でこれができるのは本当にすごいと、みんなを褒めてくれました。
During Writing time, we learned about small letters, tall letters, and fall letters, and the children color-coded them to understand their sizes and positions when writing. They thought carefully and challenged themselves with great focus. After learning about these letter types, the children have been more mindful of letter size in their writing. We also reviewed the correct stroke order for the alphabet (A–Z, both uppercase and lowercase) as we prepare for moving up to MW.
ライティングの時間には、small letters（小さい文字）、tall letters（背の高い文字）、fall letters（下に伸びる文字）について学び、色分けをしながら文字の大きさや書く位置を理解しました。子どもたちはよく考えながら、とても集中して取り組んでいました。この学習を通して、文字を書くときの大きさにもより気をつけるようになっています。また、Milky Way クラスへ進級する準備として、アルファベット（A〜Z）の正しい書き順（大文字・小文字）も復習しました。
On Thursday, we walked to a nearby park. The children walked all the way without needing a break, so we arrived quickly and had plenty of time to play! Even though it was still a little cold, everyone enjoyed running around, playing chase with “Mr. Wolf,” and spending time together outdoors. ☀️
木曜日には、近くの公園までお散歩に行きました。途中で休憩することなく最後まで歩くことができたので、早く到着し、たっぷり遊ぶ時間がありました！まだ少し寒さはありましたが、「Mr. Wolf」の鬼ごっこをしたり、元気いっぱい走り回ったりして、外で楽しい時間を過ごしました。☀️
