Welcome to Milky way’s last blog of the month of August. The highlight of our week was the afternoon circle open day. Many thanks to all the parents and guardians who attended. Your support means a lot to us!(The pictures will be uploaded in next week’s blog).
This week moved on to our final line of inquiry: “there are several ways to achieve goals.” We will focus on this line until the Sports festival is over and then we will revert back to LOI2 or combine both. Our young learners talked about what their goal for the relay race is. The consensus was that the main goal is to win.The next questions they had to answer were, how then can we make sure we win; how can we achieve this goal? Below are the suggestions they shared amongst themselves:(1)After you are done running, go and wait in the middle so that you don’t block those who are still running.(2)Do not talk to others while running.(3)We need to run very fast.(4)Lift your legs up high when you run.(5)Hold the baton tightly so that it doesn’t fall.(6)Don’t stop running during the race. Keep on going.(7)Keep your eyes focused on where you are going.(8)Give the baton to the next person in line.

The Sports festival theme of “International Festivals” points to cultures all over the world. An undertone of colorfulness can also be detected from these two words. Hence, we made African tribal masks and tie and dye t-shirts!

Preparation for the Sports Festival kept everyone very busy this week.
