Milky way:When you refuse to reuse it’s our earth you abuse! (April 21-25)

Hi everyone!

This week the students enjoyed exploring the concept of “reusing materials to maintain the health of our planet”. The train of thought went like this; the more we use things over and over instead of disposing and buying new stuff, the less trash there is in the world. Less trash means a healthier environment for everyone!

The students individually gave short presentations about the pictures related to “reusing” their parents took at home. We didn’t print these pictures onto paper. The students learned not to be wasteful(to reduce using materials when they aren’t really necessary). To sum up what they learned since the beginning of the week, they did worksheets where they had to decide which item was reusable and which wasn’t. They also had to explain the reasoning behind their answers.

For this week’s phonics lesson, the students learned about the “or” and “ir” sounds. They then colored boxes that had “ir” in them. We wrap up “Bossy R” next week with “ur”.

The Japanese lesson was a hit as usual!

The students are trying their best to recall what they have learned about learner profiles for the past few years. We will continue to incorporate fun activities into our discussions about LPs, with the aim of helping them to fully understand their meaning and significance.

To commemorate May 5th’s children day, they listened to a story about carp streamers and then they made lovely crafts individually. Everyone wishes for all children to be healthy and happy everyday!

Enjoy your weekend!
