Hello everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful time at our Sports Festival, themed “International Festivals.” It was a busy yet exciting week for our students as they prepared for this special event.
Our Shooting Star students took part in designing their own costumes for the paraballoon performance. As mentioned previously, we asked each student which community helper they aspire to be when they grow up. Based on their choices, we created custom vest costumes representing their selected roles. During LOI1: Community Helpers and Their Jobs, we explored the tools these professionals use, and now the students helped glue these tool cutouts onto their costumes. They looked fantastic wearing them at the event!
On Friday, our long-awaited Sports Festival took place. The Shooting Star students proudly dressed as their future community helper selves—complete with shiny fireworks wristbands! They danced in a dazzling paraballoon performance to express a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone, especially their ever-supportive parents. Their performance was a huge success!

In addition to their show, our students participated enthusiastically in all the festival activities, including the running race, bean bag toss, and singing and dancing during the opening ceremony. Each child gave their best effort to make their parents proud—and they truly did!

Despite the busy week, we continued our UOI lessons. We completed two meaningful activities: the Classroom Job Chart and the Kindness Jar. The students discussed and decided on three important class roles: library helpers, lunch helpers, and snack helpers. Each group worked together to understand their responsibilities and shared their plans with the class. They then put their ideas into action—and so far, they’ve done a great job!

During our afternoon circle, we reflected on the good deeds we did to support our school community. For every kind act, each student added a pompom to our Kindness Jar—a lovely reminder of how even small actions can make a big difference.
That’s all for this week! Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful weekend!
