Hello dear parents and friends,
It’s been another joyful and busy week in our class, filled with learning and little moments worth celebrating. We are excited to share some highlights with you and give you a glimpse into what your little ones have been up to!
みなさんこんにちは！今週も楽しくて忙しい一週間でした！今週のハイライトを紹介します✨お子さんたちの成長を垣間見ていただければ嬉しいです！
This week has been full of excitement and little splashes as our little learners had their swimming lesson. Watching their faces light up as they dipped their toes and then their whole selves into the pool was truly heartwarming. They enjoyed blowing bubbles and putting their faces in the water, kicking their legs and paddling their arms, floating and listening carefully to the instructor, and following pool rules. We’re so proud of how brave and enthusiastic everyone has been!
今週はスイミングレッスンがありました。朝からワクワクのオーロラさんたち。つま先から全身をプールに浸し、キラキラした顔の子どもたちの姿は、本当に心温まるものでした。水の中でブクブクと息を吐いたり、顔を水につけたり、足を蹴ったり、腕で水をかいたり、浮いたり、コーチの話をよく聞いたり。プールのルールをしっかり守って、みんなよく頑張りました😊
Stop!, Look, and Learn!
This week, our little learners embarked on an exciting journey. We had a visit from some real-life heroes! Local police officers joined us for a fun and educational traffic safety lesson, and our little learners couldn’t have been more excited. The officers talked to the children about how to stay safe even when at the school parking area and when crossing the road, and why it’s important to always follow safety rules to protect our lives. The children got to practice crossing a pretend street, stop, look, and listen, and raise their hands before crossing the road, holding an adult’s hand near streets and parking lots.
交通安全教室がありました。指導員の方がスクールにお話に来てくれました。たった一つの命を守るために来てくれた、本物のヒーローです✨スーパーやスクールの駐車場、道路を渡るときのお約束、必ず大人と手をつなぐこと。そしてどうしてそれを守らなければいけないのかをお話してくれました。園庭では、道路を横断する練習をしました。信号機を見て立ち止まり、右・左・右を見て、耳を傾け、手を上げてから道を渡る。真剣に取り組むことができました！
Learning Through Nature Play!
Outdoor discovery isn’t just fun- it’s filled with learning opportunities! A ladybug on the leaf led to a conversation and questions like, ” Is this a baby or mother ladybug?, Is it eating leaves?”This small moment was packed with observation skills and plenty of imagination.
戸外での発見は楽しいだけでなく、学びのチャンスに満ちているのです！葉っぱの上にいたてんとう虫から会話が生まれ、「これはてんとう虫の赤ちゃん？それともお母さん？」「葉っぱを食べてるの？」このささやかなひとときには、観察力とたくさんの想像力が詰まっていました✨
Teamwork and Cooperation.
As part of our outdoor activities, the students took turns watering our class flowers and tomatoes, and through this simple act of care, they practiced much deeper: Cooperation and care for nature.
交代でオーロラさんの畑のお花やトマトに水やりをしました。 この小さな思いやりも、「協力する、自然を大切にする」気持ちを育んでいます。
GYM LESSON
We began our session with a series of playful stretches that got everyone moving and smiling. After stretching, they balanced the ball on different parts of their bodies, like their heads, knees, and the back of their necks. That helped build the muscle strength and flexibility, gross motor coordination, focus, and concentration. We love seeing our students grow stronger and more confident each week!
ジムレッスンは、楽しいストレッチから始まりました🎶ボール遊びでは、頭や膝、首の後ろなど、体のいろいろなところにボールをのせてバランスをとりました！
これは、筋力と柔軟性、粗大運動協調性、集中力を高めるのに役立ちます。毎週、子どもたちが少しずつ強くなり、自信をつけていくのを見るのが楽しみです！
“Look! They’re Moving!”
This week, during our nature stroll to the nearby farm, our little learners had an unforgettable moment- they discovered tadpoles swimming in the pond. A peaceful walk turned into an adventure! We went closer to the pond, and everyone was pointing, observing, and asking questions. Here are some of the things we heard: “They’re moving! Are those baby frogs?” “They are so tiny!” “They can swim fast!”
スクールの近くの畑へお散歩に出かけたとき、とっても楽しい発見がありました！水を張った田んぼの中を泳ぐオタマジャクシを発見したのです。のどかな散歩が冒険に変わりました😊！田んぼの近くまで行き、みんなで指さしたり、観察したり、先生に質問したり。「動いている！カエルの赤ちゃん？」「ちっちゃいね」 「泳ぐのが速い！」など、たくさんの声が聞こえてきました☆
Letter D!
This week, we introduced the Letter D and the words that start with it. Students traced the letter D in the air. They also explored a fun and engaging Shadow matching activity! We used familiar pictures and their silhouettes, and the students practiced important thinking skills. We made the shadow of a dog, a duck, a dinosaur, a dress and etc. They carefully looked at each picture, found its perfect match, and said the name.
アルファベット「D」の文字と、Dから始まる単語を紹介しました。子どもたちは空中でDの文字をなぞったり、シャドーマッチのアクティビティも行いました！よく知っている絵とそのシルエットを使い、子どもたちは重要な思考力を鍛えました。私もやりたい！僕も！と、たくさんの手が上がりました。犬、アヒル、恐竜、ドレスなどの影を作り、それぞれの絵をよく見て、ぴったり合うものを見つけて、その名前を発音しました👍
