Visit to Gojo Campus and Music Concert! MW 3/3-3/7

Hello everyone! Milky Way class has two special events this week and they all had so much fun!

On Monday, as part of our UOI and in preparation for elementary school, Milky Way students went to ISN Gojo campus to visit the grades 1 and 2 classes. First, they observed the music lesson of Grade 2 and they admired how they played various and bigger musical instruments and listened to their beautiful singing. After savoring their obentos prepared by their parents, they spent time reading books in the school’s library. Then, they also experienced how elementary students clean their classrooms and some parts of the school. Half of them helped in cleaning the Grade 1 classroom and the other half cooperated with cleaning the library. To have more knowledge about being elementary students, they interviewed the Grade 1 students with the questions they thought of under the KWL chart: What I Want To Know. They were curious if elementary school is fun, what lessons they have, how they get ready for lunch, etc.

Everyone got so busy practicing for the most awaited and first time ever music concert we had in preschool. It happened on Thursday, where Aurora, Shooting Star, and Milky Way students gathered together in the harmony hall and with their parents as the audience. They started their performance with a very cute music instrument introduction and proceeded on playing the song “When the Saints Go Marching In” with various instruments (pianica, castanets, bells, drums, triangles, and wood blocks). They also sang one of their favorite songs by Bella “Do Re Mi: The Sound of Music”.

Next week, Milky Way students will work on preparing for the graduation ceremony which is going to be their last event in ISN as preschoolers. They will be moving to different schools soon, but we will just cherish and enjoy the remaining days together.
