Hello everyone!
Another busy week for our little but grown-up Auroras! 😃 We enjoyed activities inside and outside the classroom.
For our Unit of Inquiry, we explored different picture scenarios from newspapers that showed various feelings and their reasons. 📰😊 We discussed what emotions we could see and why people might feel that way. Then, we cut out the pictures and worked together to create a team collage that expressed all those feelings! Our next step will be the presentations, where each group will proudly share their collage and explain the emotions behind their work. We can’t wait to see everyone’s thoughtful ideas and teamwork come to life! 🌟

This week, one of our favorite games was Number Matching Fun! 🎶🔢 We started by dancing in circles around the numbers while the music played. Everyone was full of energy and laughter! When the music stopped, we quickly found the number we landed on and matched it by placing the same number of toys as written on the paper. It was such a fun way to learn about numbers while moving, dancing, and working together! Everyone absolutely loved it! 💃🧸✨

For phonics, we made the letter “N” for the night, and practiced cutting at the same time. A few of us were still struggling to hold the scissors correctly, but we worked together and made progress. If possible, practice at home too-it`s great!

We also enjoyed spending time outdoors, exploring, playing, and having fun together! The fresh air and open space gave everyone a chance to run, jump, and move freely. We played group games and practiced taking turns.

Learning About Boundaries and Feelings 💖
This week, we learned about understanding our feelings and setting healthy boundaries with our friends. Sometimes, we have extreme feelings toward others, like when we really, really like playing with someone or want to be with them all the time! But we also learned that it’s important to respect each other’s space and choices.
While listening to a song and watching a video clip, we practiced expressing our feelings with kindness. We talked about saying things like, “I like playing with you, but it’s okay if you play with someone else too,” or “I need a little space right now.” The children shared thoughtful ideas on how to care for others while also taking care of themselves. ❤️ These small lessons help us build strong, caring relationships where everyone feels comfortable and valued!💞 We keep continuing to talk about this until we understand setting boundaries.
Here’s a song about boundaries; enjoy watching it, and feel free to talk to your kids about it.
Thank you for visiting our blog. See you again next time!
Have a wonderful weekend!
