Nagano Aurora: Warm Books for Chilly Autumn Days🍂 (Nov17th-21st)

Storytelling
On Monday, our whole school enjoyed a storytelling time together. After listening to a wonderful picture book, Aurora made puppets of the characters and had fun playing with them. Everyone worked on coloring the characters and cut carefully. It was lovely to see how focused they were-and how proudly they showed their beautifully colored characters to their friends.

月曜日、スクールで全体で一緒に読み聞かせの時間を楽しみました。素敵な絵本を聞いた後、オーロラさんはキャラクターの人形を作り、皆で楽しく遊びました。全員がキャラクターのぬりえに取り組み、丁寧に切り抜きました。子どもたちが集中する姿、そして美しく色を塗ったキャラクターをお友達に誇らしげに見せる様子は、本当にすてきな光景でした。

In UOI
We watched a video about different situations and feelings they can create. Then we shared our thoughts about how they might feel in those moments and why. It was wonderful to hear so many thoughtful ideas. Some students talked about feeling happy when spending time with family, while others mentioned feeling sad when breaking their favorite toy. As we compared our reactions, the class began to notice that people can feel differently even in the same situation and that all feelings are okay.

UOIでは、様々な状況とそれらが引き起こす感情についての動画を見ました。その後、その瞬間に人々がどう感じるか、そしてその理由について意見を共有しました。多くの考えられた意見が聞けて素晴らしかったです。家族と過ごす時間に幸せを感じるという意見が挙がる一方、お気に入りのおもちゃを壊した時に悲しくなるという意見もありました。お互いの反応を比較する中で、同じ状況でも感じ方は人それぞれであり、どんな感情も大切だということにクラス全体が気づき始めました。

Dance Lesson
We also enjoyed a fun dance lesson. Everyone followed the music with bright smiles, trying new moves and helping each other along the way. This time, we even practiced a new dance to a cheerful Christmas song, and the studio instantly felt festive. As the rhythm picked up, the studio filled with laughter and energy. At the end of the lesson, many were already asking when we could dance to the Christmas song again!

楽しいダンスレッスンもありました。皆が明るい笑顔で音楽に合わせて動き、新しいステップに挑戦し合いながら助け合っていました。今回は陽気なクリスマスソングに合わせて新しい曲を練習し、スタジオはたちまちお祭り気分に包まれました。リズムが速くなるにつれ、スタジオは笑い声と活気に満ちあふれました。レッスン終了時には、もう何人もの生徒が「またクリスマスソングで踊れるのはいつ？」と尋ねていました！
