This week, our Milky Way students practiced teamwork through exciting and engaging activities! The children worked in small teams to solve puzzles. They communicated, shared ideas, and encouraged each other as they put the pieces together. It was a great chance to see how cooperation can help us reach a common goal!

The next day, we turned up the energy with a pool noodle relay! Each team had to carefully pass the pool noodle from one friend to the next without dropping it — all the way to the finish line. There were lots of cheers, laughter, and determination as the children learned the importance of trust, timing, and working as one. The fastest team to pass the noodle won the game! Dive team got the first place, SkiBas, second, then the Goggles team, third.

Field Trip: Nittaku Corporation

Our class had an exciting adventure visiting a local plumbing company! As part of our unit on teamwork, we were thrilled to see how real professionals work together to serve the community.

The highlight of our visit was hearing from the company’s CEO, who explained how teamwork is essential in every part of their job, from cutting the concrete ground to installing pipes. We listened attentively and asked thoughtful questions.

Then came the fun part! The CEO surprised us by letting us draw on a real pipe that will one day be used in an actual installation. The children loved leaving their colorful marks and imagining that their drawings would become part of the community. We also had a chance to explore a backhoe—climbing in and pretending to drive it like the real workers!

This hands-on field trip helped our learners understand how teamwork enables people to accomplish large tasks, and it made us appreciate the role of plumbers even more. Thank you, Nittaku Corporation, for welcoming us so warmly!

Dance Lesson

We have been using the dance studio on the second floor of SAM for two weeks. We enjoy the big mirrors as we see ourselves dancing. It’s more fun!
