Nagano Rainbow – What a FRUITful week! 🍓🥝🫐🍌(July 14th-18th)

Hello Everyone!

What a FRUITful week it was for Rainbow. This week we had an amazing time learning about the different kinds of fruits. Through fun games and activities kids were able to enjoy this months theme. We did matching and sorting the fruits, we did fruit hunting, even during our walk around the neighborhood we saw some fruit trees, then we also danced and sang to our fruit themed song while shaking some fruit shaped maracas. What’s more kids also eagerly shared about the fruits they already tried or ate, they talked about the fruits that they love to eat, and of course they excitedly shared about their most favorite fruits. Additionally, kids where also curious about the fruits that they are not familiar with. Fruits that they’ve only seen for the first time and only in the pictures, they were amazed with the shape, color and they were wondering how it would taste like. There’s really a lot of interesting yummy looking, and some odd looking fruits out there. Learning about fruits makes us happy and hungry.

GYM LESSON

Lately we’ve been having our gym lessons indoors. During indoor gym lesson kids get to move their bodies without getting too tired from the heat outdoors. In our gym lesson kids did a lot of physical exercises from walking like bears, rolling on the floor, moving silently like ninjas, running around then moving slow, jumping on hoops and balancing on beams, everyone challenged themselves and had a great time doing it together. Their new favorite activity was playing with the colorful cones that were scattered in the room, the teacher would call out a color and they would hurriedly search for the cone then collect them and gave it back to the gym teacher. Everyone was game and scrambling happily. Gym lesson this week was so exciting.

MUSIC LESSON

In our Music lesson we were able to play with the jumping frog toy again. Then after that we had to pretend like frogs jumping onto lily pads (the hoops were the lily pads) After being frogs we had to sway and move around the room with the hoops pretending we were riding a sailboat floating in the water while the song ‘Umi’ was being played. Music lesson was fun and everyone always wants to play more.
