What an exciting week we’ve had!

We kicked things off with a very special visitor — the cutest little dog in the world! 🐶 Alongside the dog, we also got to meet some other amazing pets, including frogs and lizards. The children were especially fascinated (and a little squeamish!) when we watched the frogs eat crickets — there was lots of squealing when one cricket escaped! 🦗😆

This week, we also learned about real-life “Paw Patrol” dogs and the important jobs they do to help people. The children discovered that:

• Police dogs help catch criminals 🚓
• Search-and-rescue dogs find people who are lost 🧭
• Guide dogs support blind people to cross the street safely 🦮

We talked about how, in return, we have to care for these amazing dogs by giving them love, food, and a safe home. ❤️

なんてワクワクする一週間だったことでしょう！ まずは特別なゲスト、世界で一番かわいいワンちゃんがやってきました！🐶 ワンちゃんだけでなく、カエルやトカゲなど、他の素晴らしいペットたちにも会えました。子どもたちは特に、カエルがコオロギを食べるのを見て夢中になりました（ちょっと気持ち悪がっていましたが！）。コオロギが逃げ出したときは、悲鳴が上がりましたよ！🦗😆
今週は、実在する「パトロール犬」たちや、人助けをする彼らの大切な仕事についても学びました。子どもたちは次のようなことを発見しました：
警察犬は犯罪者を捕まえるお手伝いをする 🚓
捜索救助犬は迷子になった人を見つける 🧭
盲導犬は視覚障害者が安全に道路を渡れるようサポートする 🦮
そのお返しに、私たちは愛情と食べ物、安全な住処を与えて、これらの素晴らしい犬たちを大切にしなければならないと話しました。❤️

To finish the week, we went on a fantastic trip to Suzaka Zoo! The zookeeper gave us a special tour of the farm animals, and we learned about what they eat and how we take care of them. We saw quails, ducks, rabbits, goats, donkeys, sheep, a reindeer — and even a llama! 🦙 The children made connections between how animals help us and how we help them:

• Quails and chickens give us eggs
• Sheep provide wool
• Goats give milk
• Donkeys can carry loads
• And, of course, the reindeer pulls Santa’s sleigh at Christmas! 🎅🦌

In the zoo area, we met some incredible animals: capybaras, kangaroos, lemurs, flamingos, a fierce tiger, and a big bear. We even spotted birds of prey like an eagle. One of the highlights was the penguins — the children loved watching them swim and giggled at how adorable they are. 🐧💦 Everyone wished we could have stayed longer!

It’s been a week full of discovery, laughter, and wonder. Thank you for supporting your children’s learning — we can’t wait to see what adventures next week will bring! 🌈

今週の締めくくりに、須坂動物園へ素敵なお出かけをしました！飼育係さんが特別に農場の動物たちを紹介してくださり、何を食べるのか、どう世話をするのかを学びました。ウズラ、アヒル、ウサギ、ヤギ、ロバ、ヒツジ、トナカイ、そしてラマまで見られました！🦙 子どもたちは、動物たちが私たちを助けてくれることと、私たちが動物たちを助けることとのつながりを考えました：

ウズラやニワトリは卵をくれる

ヒツジは羊毛を提供してくれる

ヤギはミルクをくれる

ロバは荷物を運んでくれる

そしてもちろん、トナカイはクリスマスにサンタのそりを引くんだよね！🎅🦌

動物園エリアでは、カピバラ、カンガルー、キツネザル、フラミンゴ、獰猛なトラ、大きなクマなど、驚くべき動物たちと出会いました。鷹のような猛禽類も見かけました。特に印象的だったのはペンギンたち——子どもたちは泳ぐ姿に夢中になり、その愛らしさにクスクス笑っていました。🐧💦 もっと長くいたかったと皆が口を揃えました！

発見と笑い、そして感動に満ちた一週間でした。
