As the chilly Nagano winds remind us that winter is arriving ❄️, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as we prepare for our Christmas performance! 🎄✨

This week, we really focused on the play because Friday was our very first stage rehearsal. We headed upstairs to watch Milky Way perform their piece, and then they watched ours. After that, we did some peer assessment—sharing helpful, kind suggestions to help each other improve. ❤️
To make the play successful, we came away with three important points to practice:
1. Speak loudly and slowly! 🎤
There’s no need to rush. When we speak too quickly, it’s hard for the audience to understand. Let’s practice using clear, confident voices!
2. Stand still while others speak. 🌟
When it’s our friends’ time to shine, we want the audience to stay focused on them. Standing still helps everyone look their best on stage!
3. Big gestures, don’t be shy! 🙌
On stage, movements can look much smaller than they feel, so big, brave actions help bring the story to life!
I’ve sent home typed scripts, so mums and dads—please help your child practice at home. 🏠💛 Have a discussion about our 3 points to practice.
We’ll also be adding in some prerecorded narrative lines, so please practice those for Monday as well. Your child’s lines are clearly marked on their script.
This week we also made our crowns, and next week we’ll be decorating them even more. They’re already very shiny—everyone was so excited to try them on! 👑✨
We practiced our music with Aurora too, and the improvement is really showing. Great job, everyone! 🎶😊

Finally, we enjoyed our last dance class until January. We’ll miss it, but don’t worry—we’ll be practicing a dance at school instead. It’s important to stay active, especially during these chilly winter days! 💃🕺❄️

Thank you always for your support. Let’s keep warm and keep practicing for our big performance! 🎄❤️
