🎄 Christmas Magic Is in the Air! ❄️✨
The festive month of Christmas is finally here! The weather has turned chilly, and we even had our first snowfall of the season. The children were thrilled, and we made the most of it by playing outside on Friday—bundled up, laughing, and enjoying the snowy wonderland. There’s nothing quite like the joy of snow when you’re dressed warmly!

🎅 Christmas Wishes Are in the Air!
It’s that time of year when the children start dreaming about what they might ask Father Christmas for. The excitement is definitely building!
But don’t forget — Santa only brings gifts to those who have been kind and helpful… otherwise you might just find a piece of coal in your stocking!😉
But with all the smiles, sharing, and teamwork we’ve seen lately, we’re pretty sure Santa will have plenty of reasons to stop by our homes this Christmas Eve. The excitement is only getting started! 🎄✨
🍽️ Delicious Christmas Dinners From Around the World
For mums and dads already planning Christmas or New Year’s meals, here are some fun and festive food traditions we’ve been talking about:
United Kingdom – Christmas Pudding
A rich, fruity dessert made with dried fruits, spices, and brandy. Traditionally prepared weeks — or even months — in advance. On Christmas Day, it’s warmed, drizzled with brandy, and set alight with a magical blue flame! Some families even hide a lucky silver coin inside. The image below is a real picture of my families christmas pud from last year!

Japan – Christmas KFC
Thanks to a famous 1970s marketing campaign, KFC became the go-to Christmas meal in Japan. Families often pre-order special holiday chicken buckets weeks ahead — it’s a well-loved national tradition.
Germany – Weihnachtsgans (Roast Goose)
A classic German Christmas feast featuring roast goose stuffed with apples or onions, served with red cabbage, potato dumplings, and rich gravy. Sweet, powdered-sugar-covered Stollen is also a must. You can get Stollen (and the Italian pantone, also eaten at christmas) in international shops such as the ones in Aeon Mall, so we can all try some!

Philippines – Nochebuena
One of the world’s most festive Christmas celebrations! After midnight mass, families gather for a huge feast with lechon, hamón, queso de bola, pancit, and bibingka — a warm rice cake enjoyed during the holidays.
Australia – Summer Barbecue
Christmas falls in the middle of summer in Australia, so families often celebrate with outdoor barbecues. Popular foods include grilled seafood, cold ham, fresh salads, and pavlova topped with berries and passionfruit. Christmas on the beach is completely normal!
🎭 Christmas Play Practice
Our Christmas play is coming along beautifully! We’ve made a few creative changes here and there, and the children have been wonderful about adapting.
Please help your little performers practice at home:
- Their individual lines
- The group “all” lines — loud and slow!
- The dance: Golden – KPop Demon Hunters (The children know the routine from The Wonder Studio video.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KK2MRnnWTo&list=RD1KK2MRnnWTo&start_radio=1
They’re doing brilliantly!
📚 This Week in Literacy
We’ve been working on CVCC and CCVC words, and the children are getting more confident every day. Here’s a fun game to try at home:

We also explored the long vowel “ow”, as in blow the snow. Now the children can read and spell snow all on their own — perfect for this wintry week!
☀️ Wishing You a Wonderful Weekend
The sun is expected to shine, so enjoy a bright and happy weekend with your families.
We’re excited for even more festive fun next week! 🎄✨ Should be some nice snow if you can make it up to the mountains!
