Here is last weeks blog! Unfortunately I was off sick with the fever that has been going around. Take care everyone!
We started the week with Setsubun. A demon came to visit, and we threw paper balls until she was successfully chased off! We were very brave, and it was really exciting.

We practiced reading sentences and looked for our “special friends” in the words so we could decode them. It looked daunting at first, but we used our knowledge to sound out the words and read the sentences with growing confidence.

We also played a game using vocabulary related to taking a train journey. We used lots of English and got to play plenty of rock–paper–scissors — it was lots of fun!
In maths, we have been making tens and ones with math cubes and practicing addition with flashcards. We are getting quicker every day.
During quiet time, we created puppet shows and used our imaginations to tell our own stories.

We spoke a good amount of English this week and are starting to get into the habit. We will keep trying to do better every week.
We also spent time with Milky Way class, which was very special. It is fun to be with our friends who will be graduating soon, and since we will almost be Milky Way class ourselves, they are a wonderful example for us.
