This week, we continued our unit on emotions and explored how art can help us express our feelings. We discussed different ways to create art and took inspiration from nature around us. We noticed that the trees near the school are changing colors and leaves are falling, so we went outside to collect some of them to use in our upcoming art project.

今週は「感情」をテーマにした単元を引き続き進め、アートを通して気持ちを表現する方法について学びました。さまざまなアートの作り方を話し合い、身のまわりの自然からもアイデアを得ました。学校のまわりの木々が色づき、落ち葉が増えてきたので、外に出て葉っぱを集め、今後のアート制作に使うことにしました。

In addition, we are planning to make wreaths using the stems from our morning glories. Although the morning glories have faded with the season, we learned that even after their growth ends, they can still be turned into something beautiful through art.

また、朝顔のつるを使ってリースを作る計画も立てています。季節の変化で朝顔は枯れてしまいましたが、これまでの成長を振り返り、枯れた後でもアートとして新しい形で活かせることを学びました。

The weather was perfect for an outdoor gym lesson this week. The students enjoyed pole activities and practiced climbing trees, which helped them develop good hand-eye coordination.

今週は天気も良く、外で体育の授業を行うことができました。子どもたちはポール遊びや木登りを楽しみ、目と手の協調運動を育む良い機会となりました。
