Hello everyone!

As we prepare for the opening of the ISN Saku Campus, we would like to share some messages from each of our existing campuses.
To begin, here is a comment from Mr. Igor, the Head of the ISN Minami-Matsumoto Preschool—the campus with the longest history at ISN.

Dear ISN Saku Kirihara Campus students and parents,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the ever-growing ISN family. Saku is such a beautiful city, nestled in the beautiful mountains and under a clear sky of Shinshu, but with excellent connections to places outside the prefecture. Opening a new campus there is a wonderful step forward for our school, because it means we can welcome even more young learners into our community and support them from the very beginning of their educational journey.

The International School of Nagano has been on the forefront of developing and promoting international mindedness and inquiry-focused education in Nagano Prefecture since its inception over a decade ago, collaborating with students, their families, and teachers to build close-knit and supportive school communities in Matsumoto, Nagano, and Nakano.

At ISN, we believe education is more than just following teachers’ instruction and memorization of facts, it’s about learning to think for oneself, and having students develop skills that will help them discover their interests in the future, learn more deeply about those interests, and continue learning well into adulthood. I always like to say that a happy learner grows into a life-long learner.

Early childhood is such an important time for developing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, and having a dedicated campus in Saku allows ISN to push that collaboration even further, and spread the ideas we know can change the world. Please feel comfortable in knowing that you can rely on us and that we will do all that is in our power to support you in this new journey.
