Happy Valentine’s Week, RF Family! More than chocolates, we wish you an abundance of love from your family and happiness from your friends!
To celebrate the occasion, the Rainforest Class, like other classes, put in effort to create a craft for their loved ones. The craft they made includes a short but sweet message for their family. Let’s look forward to reading their message for you.

For Phonics, the RF class has finally finished all the blends and diphthongs listed on their to-do list this year; from next week the class will start reviewing everything and start creating sentences by themselves including spelling.

For preliminary review, the whole class was engaged in an activity where they did not just practice their reading skills but also social skills. Each student received a card, they needed to identify what blend sound is in the word and find the cards with the same blend sound. The group needed to read all the words to get a point. The RF class found the activity super easy and aced it with no sweat!

This week, we focused on how to be knowledgeable and risk-takers while looking at how people grow and change. We started by sharing our thoughts on each attribute before reading the Learner Profile books. Some children say that watching TV or reading books helps us learn. They also believed that “risk-taker” means trying new things.
As we discussed, the class asked deeper questions like: Is it okay to jump off a building to be a risk-taker? Can we hold someone else’s dog just because we want to take a risk? Is getting into a stranger’s car a form of being a risk-taker? These conversations helped the RF class realize that being a risk-taker involves more than just trying new things. We also need to be principled, thinkers, and caring.
We concluded that it’s important to consider the good and bad sides of our choices to make sure our actions and choices lead to positive outcomes. This way, we can be happy and have fun!
See you all next week!
